In India, nobody of that age would be so bad at cutting a fruit. Plus we eat the center part.

Were I in this situation, I would probably have examined the tools, gone for the screw corer, chopped the top and bottom off the pineapple, and used the screw. Baring that, I'd have shaved the pineapple, probably halved or thirded it across the equator, used the corer on each piece and sliced the results.

I'll never understand how anyone could dislike pineapple... it's the PERFECT pizza topping. And it's fantastic grilled and put on a burger with a little teriyaki or bbq sauce... (seriously give it a shot if you like pineapple)

But in all fairness I absolutely hate coffee, most teas, beer, and avocado... so maybe I'm a little weird...

He's doing it wrong. To get rid of the seeds you have to cut a V-shape out along the spiral of "eyes" that goes from top to bottom. That way you don't lose all the good flesh, and don't leave seeds inside. He has no clue.

I don’t know if every kapwa Filipino does this but I always cut a pineapple eyes in like a spiral way and make sure that everything is taken out cuz it hurts my tongue😂. I don’t like cutting it straight cuz it loses too much flesh.
