i started shopping at goodwill, yard sales, thrift stores etc.. i was missing some silverware, went to goodwill, for $3 got new forks, spoons, knives... yard sales got a brand new $125 duvet cover for $3, bedset that was $70 for $6, furniture, just paint it if you dont like the color, plus its better quality real wood furniture, then cheap crap sold now days, buy cheap mabelline makeup, i have gotten designer hand bags at yard sales for $5, pots/pans, i mainly look out for good bedding, cuz i get bored and like to change the color once a month, i look for good shoes/purses, kitchen stuff basically, and we have gone to get free stuff at yearly citywide clean up days, we have gotten art works, brooms, new trash can, yard furniture, i got a really nice entertainment center that i managed to put in the back of my truck by myself, i sold it, i have gotten things free and resold them etc...

they built a new crumble cookie place near me, i live in a small town north of Pittsburgh, Pa , we just got a chipotle, but thank god chipotle, i dont like, my husband and i started making sandwiches, fruit, snacks when we go places, like a sunday drive or outing so we dont spend money eating out which is so Effin expensive nowdays, i remember when we could eat out for $15 and order water with our meals at some lunch special type place, the price is now almost double

My man says I have a problem with Amazon, but i only buy disposable gloves for work and body spray once every 2-3 months😂! My parents came as refugees so I grew up with hand me downs. I make 6 figures now but know how hard they worked so spending frivolously feels wrong to me. For the $1000 haul what is she putting spices on, just her carrots?

The overconsumption trend is more like the debt trend because we all know most of the influencers participating are having to take on debt for it. I literally only buy what I need now due to how expensive everything is. Only rarely do I purchase a want.

I also was overconsuming in a lot of things - but I cancelde my prime membership 2 years ago and totaly stopped watching "you need to get" or "you need to run" content. I often buy stuffed used way cheaper and have a much better conection with my money and what it is worth.

Maybe its from growing up poor in a trailor park , but ive always just wanted to be ok, to have what i need , i dont like my house to be filled with little things .. every birthday or holiday we go through and we donate things to keep it from happening , i only buy presents that can be used ,, create things, productive . Anything over 20$ makes my heart shake lol , in general i dont like owing money , so no credit cards, and im very attentive to price=value of items .
