Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens speaks on the police activity that occurred on September 11, 2023 and the updates surrounding the armed and dangerous fugitive, Danelo Cavalcante.

PA State Police⁩ confirm female driver was first to spot Calvacante while driving past him 8pm Monday night. She then turned around to make sure. Later, Calvacante saw an open garage door & saw a loaded 22 rife inside with scope & flashlight on it & grabbed it.

Lt. Colonel George Bivens thinks escapee & homeowner were both surprised to see each other in homeowner’s open garage. As Cavalcante grabbed the man’s loaded  .22 rifle, the man pulled his semi-automatic handgun & fired at Calvacante but missed Bivens believes.

“We have no reason to believe he’s injured as a result of that shooting."
