As a creative you often get asked to do work for free, 'It's good for your showreel' they say. I have always been very reluctant to do any work for free and always advise friends never to do work for free.
However, I recently really needed some video for my new webpage, so I went out and found my ideal customer and offered them a video package for free.
So I've changed my mind a bit if you know who you want to work with and your niece industry then it can be well worth doing some work for free to get a name within that industry.
