Police need to add new training/qualifications to there job.
They need to feel like they are actually helping someone, not just following order and going against there Oath.
Maybe they need a cops for kids program or something where they do an activity with each group (ex. orphan basketball day) while raising awareness of problems.
Just a wild idea, I'm sure someone could think of something way better but the main thing is that cops need to feel like they're actually helping people and not just lap dogs.

Boo hoo. These cops, the vast majority of whom are not university educated and yet make close to or over 100k, are complaining about morale. Winnipeg police has some of the worst records for persecuting everyday Canadians, including Indigenous Canadians. They brutalize the public, shut down peaceful protests, clamp down on unions, harrass homeless people, discriminate against minorities (and eat up the largest chunk of the city budget on top of that), and we're supposed to feel sorry for them? Lol nope. Defund the police.

Keep listening to USA and NYPD. Year ago, a Canadian cop was respected, They had fun on the job and wanted to work. Then, ANTIFA and BLM came up to Canada.

It's almost like enforcing draconian measures makes the public hate you, and you in turn end up hating yourself if you have any semblance of morality and decency...WHO KNEW?

If paramedics routinely beat people up or firefighters stole from the houses they were supposed to be saving, well they wouldn't be respected either. If you want to be respected and valued, EARN IT. Earn back the public trust by being above reproach and by being professionals. Hold each other to the standard. I'm sorry whining because you are being held accountable for your actions is going to get very little sympathy from the public.
