This comes in handy, as I have an event this Friday. FML... This will be my first time wearing a tuxedo.
ОтветитьI bought a tux for 175 the buttons need to sown on and fitted but other than that it’s perfect
ОтветитьThank you style OG!
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this video.. clear, straight to the point. Thank you for this.
ОтветитьStyle OG, can one rock a Royal Blue or Navy Blue tuxedo at a black tie affair or wedding, vice a black tuxedo!? Please advise...
ОтветитьI wish restuccia would enforce dinner suit.
ОтветитьYou are 100% right!
ОтветитьDinner jackets on black tie is imo much more stylish than the tuxedo
ОтветитьPretty good overall, but you're missing the studs on the shirt. It's not very formal if you show the dress shirt buttons. So you either have to use studs for display & coverage, or a dress shirt with two button layers, meaning one is for the buttons, the other is to hide the buttons.
ОтветитьThank U Style OG! I have a Inauguration Black Tie Gala Event here in Montgomery, Al on November 12th. Thank U For Telling Me About This!
ОтветитьWhat's going on Big Brother how about some black hole cuts
ОтветитьThe black tie wedding I’m going to is a milatry wedding and they said bow tie or tie. What would be better and should I wear my vest or comber bum.
ОтветитьActually the point you make below about keeping to the basics of information is great, as there are some style variations and a lot of vids are opinionated. That's a well structured and thought through primer.
ОтветитьHey Jeff I was wondering if you could do a video specifically on waist coverings. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьIs it bad for a guest to wear a bow tie to a wedding ?
ОтветитьA tuxedo shirt should not have showing buttons. It can either have decorative studs, or a hidden fly that covers the buttons.
ОтветитьAlways be sure to wear a waist covering! It will make you look slimmer and taller, because it help ease the eyes along the silhouette. Also make sure your bow tie a self tie model not pre-tied.
ОтветитьI prefer the winged-collar white shirt with a thin bat wing bow tie for that 1930's Club look. (See Brando - Godfather movie) But you should wear a backless vest under your jacket for that classic style. I know velvet slippers were a thing in the past, but a nice pair of black Oxford shoes are far more practical these days.
ОтветитьI know you mentioned 3 options for shoes but which one is your go to shoes for black tie
ОтветитьSo no cumberbund or vest? No specific type of buttons? I thought you were supposed to wear studs on the shirt since a normal button is too informal, or the other option of having no buttons. Belt or no belt?(No belt) you use side adjusters or suspenders, what about the types of collars you can wear? The socks? As you said the small details are what matters, what you covered we’re the general ones, still a good video with no wrong information just missing some.
Ответитьgreat job Jeff. you look great in this tux. I'll be sure to reference this when I need it.
Ответитьgreat vid. I will make sure I reference this info when I go to my next formal event.
