As a native Bronxite, no I do not think of J-Low.😅
ОтветитьIt was all common knowledge, it sounds more like things you didn’t know about the Bronx, not us. We knew already 😂
ОтветитьForgot to mention the beautiful Pelham Parkway and the neighborhood surrounding it.
ОтветитьI grew up in the Bronx in 1970s Allenton Avenue and Boston Post Road corner with a White Castle . Hanged out in the corner of Barnes Avenue where a candy store was, and Wallace Avenue corner.
ОтветитьIsn’t this where THE garbage people relocated to?
ОтветитьThe Bronx Zoo is the best zoo in NYC.
ОтветитьFacts about people from Riverdale, they don't want to claim The Bronx, but it's the Bronx.
ОтветитьI didn't hear what we really call The Bronx with pride. "The Boogie Down"
ОтветитьJ-LO? I don't think so.
ОтветитьYou incluse the "the" because of that's how you address a river, hence, The Bronx RIver, The Rhine River, The East River, The Hudson RIver, THe Amazon RIver, Etc.
ОтветитьWhat is a "Barrow "?
ОтветитьO yes the boogie down Bronx
Ответитьno one from nyc calls the bronx's little Italy Little Italy. we all call it Arthur Ave.
ОтветитьRiverdale is Not the most expensive neighborhood in the Bronx Feldston a private gated community is. Nobody ever mentions the horse stables & trails near CI, the country club & golf courses, the Brewery, the Ferry at Classon Pt., the YMCA private beach, the many malls. The old Bronx of the early 80s & before was mainly segregated between Italians & blacks and ran by the mob. So if you miss 'those good ol days' I know why
ОтветитьBob Puerto Rican Zoo salsa way better than Cubans that's my opinion and I'm Dominican by the way
ОтветитьLove this video! I gave you my like
ОтветитьIM A BRONX NATIVE!!!❤❤❤❤❤ we are real thorough people
ОтветитьWe could have done without the annoying background music!
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention the Bronx family, for which the Bronx is named after and why it is called the Bronx.
ОтветитьNo mention of the Bronck family that owned farm land giving their name to the burrogh as in we visited the Bronck's farm. This was later, inexplicably, changed to the Bronx.
You need to revise your otherwise fun little documentary to include this fact. It's the most important part of where the "The" comes from
I lived here from 1936 (born) to 1945. Played in the streets with my black and jewish friends.(I'm italian) . My stomping grounds was Crotona Park, Bronx Zoo and Loues movie. Built my own skooter out of orange crates and steel roller skates. Stick ball, slug, bottle cap street shuffle board and roller skating in the street. Rented a bike for 35 cents per hour using my Mom's ration book for collateral. Played hooky a lot. Anyone else still around to remember?
ОтветитьIt apartment of NY that’s all I need to know ………stay away from
Ответить75% of the Bronx is a cesspool
ОтветитьYou mentioned the Zoo but didn't really talk about it. You should have talked about City Island. This it's own unique neighborhood just like Riverdale.
ОтветитьBorn and raised!
ОтветитьI didn’t know they moved the Fulton Fish Market!!!
ОтветитьI also spent a lot of time on City Island in the 1950's fishing and eating at the snack shacks at the end where they had piers
ОтветитьBorn in The Bronx, raised in Pellham Parkway, and The film The Wanderers was filmed on my street for a couple of scenes. I had grandparents live in Co-Op city and my father's cousin and his family. My aunts mother and father as well. I also lived just outside Park Chester behind the number 6 train. I rode my bike all around and definitely enjoyed it. I even attended something that is long gone. Remember Shorehaven pool club. I went as a boy in the 1970s and early 1980s.
ОтветитьBest dancing clubs back in the 1970's🥰
ОтветитьBut wait what happened you didn’t mention CITY ISLAND it’s part of the Bronx, you missed a big land mark
ОтветитьThe original name is the bronck before the bronx😊
ОтветитьWhat about City Island ?
ОтветитьI was born and raised in the Bronx back in the 50s a time when everyone got along, helped one another, and watched out for everyone kids .Best memorys l will cherish forever ❤
ОтветитьI Lived in The Bronx So You Are Sharing Just a Little About The Bronx There Are No Secrets If You were Raised There
ОтветитьGreat video of the Bronx, but Jennifer Lopez is never on my mind, and she is not my concern! The one I am familiar with is the Edger Alan Poe Park on Grand Concourse between Fordham Road and Kingsbridge Ave!
ОтветитьI heard Jenny didn’t come for the block more like White Plains
ОтветитьI used to walk to Washington heights on the bridge by Yankee stadium!
ОтветитьI slept in my car on Crotona pkwy and 173rd
ОтветитьI dated some girls in Hercs bldg! ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьI'm from da Bronx, I don't EVER THINK OF JLO🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьNYC is indeed a magical place. NY is a special state, but NY is being destroyed now. Thank you Joe Biden and the Democrats.
ОтветитьLOL, no one associates the Bronx with J Lo.
ОтветитьIt's full of Drugs and Crime, I know this because I w[red there for 30 years more on then off but I still like some parts
ОтветитьAll I can say is, I LOVE the f...in BRONX!!!! Born and raised baby....
ОтветитьOrchard Beach is man-made, not natural.
ОтветитьWho is J Lo?
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention City Island, and Co-op City might be worth a mention as well.
ОтветитьSouth Bronx South South Bronx
ОтветитьIn a 1970s visit my I=rish first cousins, who were often in Paris (where we had relatives), said that the Bronx reminded them of Paris.
