Nara Rohit (born 25 July 1984) is an Indian actor and producer works in Telugu films. An alumnus of New York Film Academy, Rohit is known for works such as Baanam (2009), Solo (2011), Prathinidhi (2014), Rowdy Fellow (2014), Asura (2015) and Jyo Achyutananda (2016). He owns the production house Aran Media Works.
Early life of Nara Rohit
Nara Rohit is the son of Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, the brother of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Nara Rohit did his schooling in Hyderabad and Intermediate in Vignan College at Vadlamudi. He did his B.Tech. in Industrial Bio Technology at Anna University, Chennai. Nara Rohit then did a course in acting from New York Film Academy, New York and film making course in Los Angeles.
Career Nara Rohit
Rohit made his acting debut with Baanam, directed by first time director Chaitanya Dantuluri, which was released on 16 September 2009. The film was critically acclaimed. Nara Rohit got moderate success with his second film Solo, which was released on 25 November 2011 and directed by Parasuram. In 2012, Nara Rohit did a special role in Ravi Teja's Sarocharu.
In 2013, Nara Rohit worked with director Srinivas Raga on Okkadine, co-starring Nithya Menon. The film was not successful at the box office. Nara Rohit was the narrator for the film Swamy Ra Ra, starring Nikhil Siddharth and Swati Reddy.
On the eve of Rohit's birthday, the movie Balakrishnudu's motion poster was released, which featured him in a toned body. Shutting out all the body shaming comments against him, the actor revealed his fit and healthy transformed body.The poster received a positive response. A great support and encouragement from director Pavan Mallela helped him to put off weight – quoted the actor in an interview with TV9.

Educational qualification:
I completed my B. Tech. in Industrial Bio Technology at Anna University, Chennai. Then I went to USA to do a course in acting at NYFA (New York Film Academy), New York followed by filmmaking course at Los Angeles.
When did the acting bug bit you?
My father used to urge me to get into acting when I was in my +2. The acting bug started when I was doing my engineering. I asked pedda nanna (Chandra Babu Naidu) about his suggestion. He said that I should get proper training in professional institute before making my debut. As per his advice, I joined NYFA to hone my skills in acting. After completion of my course, pedda nanna asked me to meet C Aswini Dutt. Chaitanya Dantuluri narrated me the story of Banam and I liked it. That’s how my debut film happened.
What is Banam film all about?
Banam film is about a youngster called Bhagat. I play an intense graduate called Bhagat
How different is learning in film institute and acting in real films?
Learning in film school makes us wiser in terms of what to expect when acting in film. If an actor is professionally trained in a film institute, it makes the job of director easy. Film institute training also got me rid of camera fear.
Tell us about the director Chaitanya Dantuluri?
Chaitanya is an intense filmmaker. He knows what he is doing. He has got tremendous grip of directorial skills.
What do you think are your strengths and weakness as an actor?
My strengths are good voice and screen presence. I will learn and improve. Learning is a continuous process.
What kind of movies do you like?
I like romantic comedies. I also like war epics and sports-based movies.
