I just loved Scene stealing Anthony Newley. One of my favorite Brits. Anthony Newley was an English actor, director, comedian, tv host, singer, musical writer, showman, composer and musician. A "latter-day British Al Jolson", he achieved widespread success in song, and on stage and screen. He was married to Joan Collins.

I didn’t watch the movie to the end for this reason, the white(the British) Rubbed Africa of everything and they were the masters of slavery and now they make a movie trying to blame someone else for slavery. Want a lie. Here in US the movie makers of the 50s and 60s always show the natives as savages, uncivilized, although they were the victims. Well the media working day and night to brainwash the people. Pease😊

I think Ghost in The Darkness was baded on The same Story.

I saw black and white film at a theater back in the mid to late 50s. I also have a book authored by one of the men involved.

I thought this was a movie based on an actual incident. I saw this before TV and i did same thing then my Bad. Though it is a good film.

Love these old movies. Actors had to act. They did not have the special effects that they do today.

I remember the scenes of African animals were always the high spot for kids watching the film in a movie house. We didn't have anything like the internet in 1959.
