Some people hate just to hate. If Saban succeeded in college; why wouldn't Bill? They are one in the same.

If anything Bill style would work better for young men then it would other Grown men.

There are two types of people when it comes to anything to do with the NFL. The first watches Bill Belichick on MNF Manningcast and on his show Coach and either falls asleep or gets bored and/or irritated.
The second watches those shows with remote in hand so they can pause and rewind to fully understand what was just said.
Which type of person do you think really cares about the record of being the most 'winningest coach'?

OSU has a 20-million roster but is not the playoff #1 seed and has lost two games.
UNC like DUKE is known for basketball while Clemson and FSU excel at football.

@05645ci
@05645ci - 14.12.2024 19:36

Folks need to see the larger picture here. The ACC including UNC is locked into a bad football contract with ESPN thru 2036. Clemson and FSU are suing to get out of it. The SEC and Big 10 want all the dominant football programs and has it's eyes on UNC, but football at UNC has been slightly above average. UNC recognized that despite their dominance in basketball, football is king and they need to either catch up or be left behind financially and reputationally. If Belichick can make them a perennial playoff contender, their investment will pay off in spades, either by being at the top of the ACC, or being courted to join the SEC or Big 10. Bottom line is that UNC is a dominant athletic school EXCEPT in the #1 cash sport. They just made a major move to fix that problem, and served notice to the ACC that it's game on. Selah

People need to slow down. It's the same game. Bill will be fine. His demeanor is how college football coaches used to coach in the 90's {when I played). He is going to let the players know what his expectations are. They will either get in line or be shown the door. I believe we saw this movie at Colorado.

UNC has been a sleeping giant for decades, they have the money and facilities to do it, they can get south talent and speed with an ACC schedule, I look for them to be a playoff team in year one and a national title contender in 2-3 years, if they can do it at clemson, and they can do it at oregon and boise and so on, why not UNC.

I think Bill will be great for UNC he will teach the inexperienced some maturity. He'll teach the players how life is 90% business and 10% fun. Bill will teach players how to be winners with class. Most grown-ups in the NFL still do college things until you've been there some years then some hit maturity. For Bill to mature his players without stooping to their level will only bring them up to his and thats a legendary status.
