That's the first time I've ever heard a person express exactly how I feel about operating in chaotic environments. Order is fine, but it lacks the potential for true heroic greatness, in my opinion. War is hell, and despite that, I thrived as a soldier. Now I live in the wilderness with a solar setup and a satellite dish to keep track of what the rest of ya'll are up to; mostly insane things. The Kingdom is laid out before you, but you do not see it because it doesn't look like the world you are familiar with. Do not fear what lies beyond the boundaries of your world, for everything you need is there and within you; for your heavenly Father knows your needs and has provided for them. It's not just a question of what you choose our when you choose it, but also why do you feel as though you have to choose in the first place?
A coin flip would reduce the anxiety and uncertainty down to 0.
And in many ways, if we spend weeks overthinking multiple choices what ends up happening is that when the time comes to finally make the decision, we make a snap judgement. And we are never certain no matter how long we thought things through. Because certainty is not a product of good decision making, but of trust. Not of choosing right over wrong, but proving your choice right after the fact.
We never do have control over our lives; but we can have control over ourselves and our attitudes towards life.

There are no good outcomes in life, only good actions taken to unknown outcomes.

Why have such a title when the preference is to live in that box/controlled environment it’s ridiculous no different than everyone running scared over said “virus” jc so much pathetic pitch and no independent initiative to prove anything to selves not willing to do own fkn work.

The right decision is the one that is right AT THE TIME, based on a careful review of all information AT THAT TIME. If after the passage of events it turns out that another option was better, then you follow the Stoics in understanding that you cannot control most things which are external to your mind including future events , and acceptance rather than regret is the rational response.

Making premature decisions or trying to is my issue. I did not get this before but I try to iron down the possibilities to help myself feel certain before a decision needs to be made when really I could just start investigating the options and see what unfolds

my philosophy : narrow down your options and than its easy to choose between very bad choice vs very good choice and between good choice vs very good choice, choose anyone and stuck to it because end result not going to vary much.

You start deciding when the issue or opportunity arises you never leave it to the last minute, that doesn’t mean you should dwell on it forever either but it is important to really take your time when making a decision that can impact your life in a positive or negative way the first thing you need to ask yourself is does this option benefit me in the long run, is this option going to help me reach my goals and help me reach my dream life. Even though it may seem difficult or painful at the time it’s a case of short term pleasures for long term pain or short term pain for long term pleasure. Take working out for example your brain is like hell no we are going to stay right here in the comfort zone going against that you are going to encounter resistance sure it will be less painful and uncomfortable staying at home, but is that going to benefit you in the long term and is it going to help you reach your goal? For most people it won’t being overweight is a serious health issue and can also affect your mental health and in some cases it can even end your life before you even reach your goal, I believe that the pro’s outweigh the cons in this decision making. As Andrew says always make the best chest move in life and he is right making good decisions usually end in good results.

Choosing between two universities in two cities may both yield good results. However, consider that your choice from this branch off will decide your career path, probably the people you meet, the spouse you marry, the lifestyle you lead, even the crossing of a street when a cab hits you, etc. So it is this fear that keeps us standing at the fork in the road.
