ОтветитьThank you nat for having this on tape. Losing so many. God bless
ОтветитьLegends...
Dudes actually taught me how to dance, and more importantly, dance charisma. Not taking away ANYTHING from the rest of the group, because they all had there own individual thing, but Cricket was just smooth with it. I learned a lot from y'all. RIP Cricket...long live The Funketeers!

ОтветитьHi Nat, I was a small kid in 1980s Detroit and between The Scene dancers and listening to the Electrifying Mojo, my little mind was blown. You were the coolest host. Sugar to Sugar, Salt to Salt if you didn't get off, it ain't our fault. God bless and thanks for documenting and preserving the culture!
ОтветитьWill there ever be any new uploads?
ОтветитьInktown!
ОтветитьI remember watching this! Wow time flies!
ОтветитьI remember watching this when it first aired. Loved the guys in the red shirt and silver shirt.
Ответитьoh wow...Words by the Tom Tom Club...
ОтветитьI was going to THANK YOU for acknowledging the Brother that recently passed in this group.... only 3 years younger than I .... 🙏🏿....And then to see in his name is similar to mine after the fact
ОтветитьGrowing up as a kid in the D back in the 70s and 80s my dream was to be a Funkateer. They were fresh! We had a mini version of them at Von Steuben Jr High called KAOS.
ОтветитьThe Scene was one of my favorite shows! Nothing like the 80's! I would go back to that era in a heart beat!
ОтветитьSensational!
ОтветитьThis is where The Jit came from. Know your Detroit history
ОтветитьMy name is Joslyn.I used to dance on the Scene!
ОтветитьThis is epic!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьYou have to give credit where credit is due.. They designed a style of dancing on par with every other dance being performed back in the day... They incorporated popping, locking, jitt and doused it with their own special secret sauce! Bravo my brothers bravo!
ОтветитьNat they were from Inkster.. I'm pretty sure they would want their city to be represented
ОтветитьMan I'm from Alabama but I grew up in Inkster Michigan memories loved that dance they had the break down , I remember learning how to do it , I still do it at age 58 , I been back in Alabama for a while now but nothing but love for Michigan , love yoll Michigan
ОтветитьHay Nat you the man. This is Luckey from Playskule. You edited our video. I remember watching the Scene when I was 14 trying to dance like the Funkateers. My brother and I had the white gloves jamming to Kraftwerk and The Tom Tom Club. Thanks for the memories and love for Detroit.
ОтветитьMuch love to the Funkateers, R.I.P Cricket
