How to Create & Modify Shortcuts in Final Cut Pro X

I usually set F to Delete that way I can keep my hand on the keyboard and hit b to cut a to select and f to delete, and I can edit quicker

Can you create a shortcut to apply a installed effect? For example can I create a shortcut to apply a crop size to any footage at the click of a key?

I wish there was a way to modify commands with the click of a mouse.
For example: (on a mouse) The middle scroll allows you to scroll up and down, but I would like to modify it to where I can hold right click and then when I scroll it will go left to right. 
Changing from vertical to horizontal scrolling while holding down the right click.

Thank you for the post! I'm having a hard time creating a command for Share>Save Current Frame. I don't see it in the list of commands. Is there a way to create commands if they don't appear in the list?

I have a custom workspace I use for color correcting, and I can't see how to add a shortcut to switch to it. The ⌘0 works to return to default but I can't find a way to go to my color correction space. Is it possible? The menu command is not available when I have the shortcuts window opened. Thanks in advance! I enjoy the tutorials and get a lot out of them.
