In JJMcCarthy's presser he was asked how far he could throw. He said in High School he threw for 78 yrds. He did say that was with the wind at his back.

Darnold choked at the end of the season. He was not exceptional when exceptional was needed. I understand the interior OL was trash and no Darrisaw but you can still roll-out and improvise like Daniels did for Washington. Jj is a winner and doesn't fold in big games.

There is no cap space to pay this dude when we're -53 million for next year. And keep in mind we only have one real quarterback on the roster next year, we're losing Josh Metellas, Josh oliver, Ivan pace, Ryan wright and our Long snapper. Even if we don't resign these particular people, someone has to take their place which will need to sign. In addition to all that, they still have a draft class which appears to be quite large to sign for next year.

What does Judd mean that McCarthy doesn't have a Howitzer. He's probably top 5 at least of all QBs in the NFL for arm strength.

I’d probably take our receiving weapons over any team in the league…pairing that with 2 really good RBs, and a top line…it’s time to roll the opposition! I think it’s gonna be similar to our start last year…except we gonna dominate on another level

JJ gets a lot of flack because of the system Michigan ran. Yes JJ was not asked to throw the ball 40+ times a game that does not mean he can't. He has a rocket for an arm. He does not care about individual accolades all he cares about is winning football games.

The Vikings are a good quarterback away from being a Super Bowl team. I think McCarthy is that guy.

Tai Felton's short route tree is far superior to Nailor's, and Tai gets nearly instant separation on his cuts....
Nailor has much better intermediate and long route efficiency

point being - if KOC does things right, the field will be widened at the line of scrimmage as those zones are now the property of Tai Felton from wherever he lines up or motions to....

Typical national sports media, "JJ McCarthy has a weak arm, has bad passing stats, and is recovering from season ending ACL injury and surgery." Reality is he has a very strong arm, terrific passing stats, just fewer passes, and had a minor surgery to repair a meniscus tear.
