I also remember him from Sons & CM. This is so sad because Johnny seemed like such a good person. Prayers to poor Cathetine, her cat & her family😢🙏 The hospital should have ordered the MRI. They are also to blame. I feel bad for Johnny too because I feel like he literally wasn't himself.

I speak from experience I got a tbi in April 2021 and my personality has changed a lot, I am sensitive to light, and have outburst of anger. It’s really hard to deal with people don’t understand how I went from a hard working motivated person with good interpersonal skills, to a shell of myself. It’s definitely a battle everyday! I take supplements but I have come to accept the old me left that day it happened. I do grieve my old self but if I can tell anyone who has been through this is please be easy on yourself, for a period of time I gave up on myself and thought I would never amount to anything because reading and writing have become a little more difficult as well as speech. Sometimes I’m talking and I forget what I was even talking about, I also have to write down everything otherwise I won’t remember. Im not saying it’s easy trust me there’s days we’re it’s easier to accept my “new” normal, but some days I can’t even look at myself, but I think that’s life. You got this. Go to therapy take your medication. Supplement if you need to but be easy on yourself ❤

I remember hearing about this years ago. Now that I am older and more seasoned in true crime and in drugs... I believe he had a manic episode from using Meth or Adderall. Writers sometimes use that type of drug to cure "writers block". I would be very interested to know what exactly his toxicology report came out to in the end!

Head trauma is so serious and can do so much damage to the injured party. It completely changes who they are and has repeatedly been shown to cause violence in people. That’s part of why so many American football players become domestic abusers when they weren’t before. Some are just abusive anyway but there’s a number who end up like this after head trauma. MRIs should be mandatory following any head injury and we need a way to address and assess the damage before this kind of thing happens again

I’m not saying his actions are excused by any means, but I do feel like the justice system and medical system failed him.

I wonder what happens when someone who isn’t schizophrenic takes antipsychotics. If it was TBI it doesn’t make sense that he was schizophrenic.
