Two months after I decided to quit smoking cigarettes, I’m now starting to see the improvements in my day to day life. Although I believe I still have a long way to go, I’m glad I no longer struggle, feeling groggy every morning instead I’m now waking up feeling more refreshed and ready to take on the day. It’s also safe to say that I’m now getting more hours of sleep due to the fact I am no longer waking up in the middle of the night struggling to catch my breath during my cough attack episodes. Other than my lungs slowly improving and my face acne finally starting to clear up, my appetite has been on the rise and I’m now beginning to increase my meals more and more every day. I’m proud to say that I’m slowly starting to recognize myself again.

In my first couple weeks of getting back in the gym, it wasn’t easy for me to accept how far I’ve fallen off. It honestly hurt to see that I’m physically nowhere near where I used to be and that’s okay. I’ve accepted the consequences of my choices and I’m ready to bring back that disciplined / go-go-go mindset I once had.

After weeks of eliminating every single thing I felt was holding me back, I believe it’s time to kick things up a notch and take things to the next level. I have officially met with a local bodybuilding coach that I’ve been meaning to work with for some time now and it’s time to put together a strategic plan to get back in shape.
