This is such an underrated quality for edrum manufacturers to get right. Really, really hope that kick pad is sold separately too! Would make a great upgrade for many kits
Ответить>makes a video about an extremely quiet drumkit
>doesnt show how quiet it is
Cool, but the cat walking by in the background was the best part. :)
ОтветитьHe said they were going to show what they actually sounded like but they never did. Kind of annoying when that is the whole point of the kit.
ОтветитьVery, very good move! ❤
ОтветитьThis is great. I never managed to overcome e-drum vibrations to the neighbours, but why not apply the same technology to the other models?
ОтветитьSeriously Roland, so the actual thing this video is about you don't demonstrate.
ОтветитьCan we hear exactly how quiet they are rather than the module's samples?
ОтветитьNo real time audio capture of the kit sounds like outside the headphones. No thumbs up until then.
ОтветитьMy favorite part is when Roland went back to proprietary mesh pads instead of being able to use any mesh pad because screw the customer.
ОтветитьRoland, when you don't show your key selling point, it means you're trying to hide it, which means it doesn't work.
ОтветитьNot a fan of the snare
ОтветитьTypical comment by a Roland employee or paid shill .... "Wow, these look GREAT! Roland did it again!" and "How much to have them shipped to ________? " ..... And then comments by real people mention how the demo doesn't show what it advertises. Roland is up to some shenanigans.
ОтветитьAwesome stuff! 🎉
ОтветитьShould be callrd, Roland 4Karen. Because you already bought edrums, mixer, and headphone amp..... but she's still complaining about the 98% decibel reduction. Now meet the Roland 4K....For Karen.
ОтветитьRoland missed an opportunity with the name, and it should have been named VDQ106 for "Very Darn Quiet".
ОтветитьShut up and take my money!!!! I love it
ОтветитьSmall 8" pad for the snare! Even a $300 Simmons set gives you a 10" for the snare! Seems like even most budget sets give you a little larger snare drum. It's funny to see the girl bending way over to put her expensive phone on the floor! Again, a cheap Simmons set at least gives you a little plastic holder! Exhaustive research!
ОтветитьI'm assuming I could upgrade or swap out one cymbal if I really wanted one with a third zone (ride bell)? The drum and hi-hat volume reduction are the priorities for me/my house but it would be nice to throw in some bell accents from time to time.
Ответитьnever got to see how quiet they are to people in the same room or other places of the house. Stupid. And one big FAIL
ОтветитьI love the effort towards quiet drums! But... $1800 for the drum set, seriously?! Im not convinced to spend that much on a beginnerish kit. Why shouldn't I just get Alesis Nitro Max for $400, throw rags on those pads, and mats underneath it, and get around the same result? Why? And it comes with 10" snare.
ОтветитьI'm not seeing much advancement from prior products here. Just a repackaged asthetic upgrade otherwise you would have given us an actual example of the difference.
ОтветитьNo kick pedal? Why?
ОтветитьSo quiet we just need to take your word for it…. Got it.
Will DEFINITELY be buying these probably-super-quiet-because-you-said-so drums!
Who the fuck edited the video? Did he forget to include the “how do they really sound” part?
ОтветитьCorrect!…where there is smoke there is 🔥 …and there is always smoke with her…it makes me think about a phrase I heard when I was younger…”if one person says something about you and you think it’s not accurate, then you can discount it, but if several people tell you the same thing you have to at least consider it!!!
Ответить👎Lost of time video = 10 minutes NO DEMONSTRATION OF THE REAL (UNPLUGGED) NOISE
Ответитьshow, don't tell
ОтветитьI kept stopping the video thinking I was hearing my cats fighting, then realized it's in the background of the video... and yeah they never got to the point, I was expecting them to have somebody talking in the same room to show how quiet they are. On the other hand, if the v-drums at our church were really quiet I wouldn't be able to hear the drummer when they disappeared from my monitor.
ОтветитьThanks for NOT giving us a Side-by-Side comparison!
These drums absolutely sound as loud as any e-drums out there, and therefore this entire video is pointless.
Politically correct drums. Not very Keith Moon is it? Getthafkouttahere
ОтветитьIf Roland would like to send me a kit, i will record a video to demonstrate how quiet they are.. With no talking.. 😊
ОтветитьTotalement silencieuse?? Impossible.....la mienne est sur une planche posée sur des coussins....mes voisins l' entendent...dessous et à côté....vibrations
ОтветитьHey dudes .. Check out the Sweetwater DEMO video. The DEMO features someone playing the kit with the sound module audio turned down. You'll hear the actual sound of the sticks and kick pedal hitting the pads.
ОтветитьCome on Roland. You are better than this. Why did no one object to this video when it was produced?
ОтветитьVery good idea, I really like this development. It's a shame that something similar wasn't available before. I practice in an apartment, so at the time I chose the Roland TD-17 KV for similar reasons, mainly because of the quieter mesh playing surfaces. Unfortunately, the loudest components are the KD-10 kick drum and the cymbals, especially the CY-5 foot cymbal. On these, the playing is continuous and even though the mesh snare drum is quiet, the continuous hitting on the hi-hat and the high volume of the foot drum are very disturbing for the others. I built a sound-absorbing platform under the set, which made the repetitive knocking sounds more tolerable, but it still can't be called quiet. I've thought many times how nice it would be to have such a hi-hat with mesh head, if only because the CY-5 is not very durable anyway, unfortunately it breaks down quickly. Hopefully, this problem will be solved with the new development. I see that they ask for the price of the development, the new drum set is very expensive even with the basic knowledge module, so I'm sure I won't change it for a while. Of course, this new electric drum would also have noise, because this instrument cannot work otherwise, but the most disturbing knocking sounds that travel down floors through building structures would hopefully be noticeably reduced (to the delight of the neighbors). In my opinion, there is no other solution for drumming in an apartment, if I were to look for an electric set right now, I would probably stock up on it.
ОтветитьDoes the ride have bell in addition to the bough and edge capability?
ОтветитьAs an apartment dweller, this is something I'm interested in, for practice purposes as well as for doing some DI recording. I already own a KATKT5 by DW. But yes, it does still have a lot of floor vibrations even with half inch foam padding and blankets on the floors and walls. So if this does reduce noise and vibration significantly, I am interested. But I'm curious if I can continue using my pre-existing frame from my DW kit. Since all of the pads and hardware can be purchased individually, I might get the desired drum pads, high hat stand and bass drum sensor, to see how they can attach to my frame. The sound module would also be ideal, especially with Bluetooth capabilities for mixing when I'm jamming out. But does the sound module have its own speaker box, does it have quarter inch instrument cable capabilities, or is it standard auxiliary?
ОтветитьLoud? THAT'S OUR SECRET WORD FOR THE DAY!!!!!!
ОтветитьRoland, did you purchase Kat's kick beater design?
ОтветитьThe Roland V-Drum Quiet Design drums are very quiet compared to other e-kits on the market, even though they did not show this in the video. The main problem with them is that they do not feel good or realistic to play. The cymbals especially are like thick bad drum pads and nothing like good e-cymbals. The only real cool part is the pedal sound eaters. This kit may accusticly be quiter than any other e-kit it is just no fun and awkward to play.
ОтветитьFinally a e-drums you don't have to modify your whole flat to be able to play!
ОтветитьWow the sound is fantastic love them
ОтветитьCan you juse dabl pedál?
Ответить
