Ngl watching something like this in 2024 (still feels weird to say) makes you appreciate the budget options available now.
Look at something like Keychron, Nuphy, Akko, etc. who all have a pretty decent offering of great wireless keyboards in all different sizes and switch types. Budget-oriented keyboards have really come a long way. Personally using the Keychron K3 and it's probably one of the best keyboards I've ever used and I don't intend on swapping it out unless I go custom build.

it's so funny watching this now knowing RK is a good budget keyboard brand that's moddable and versatile

Think about it. You give CHINESE factories YOUR instructions and get surprized when a copy comes out soooo good. ITS ALMOST LIKE THEY HAD THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS

just another casual not knowing that these "copy" keyboard are much more customisable and is a ton better once you've modded it for the same price as those big companies like logi and razer who keep making crappy gimmicky keyboards.

2023 and most of these "budget" keyboards are the same price as the Logitech G613. So I guess I'll be going with that.

Royal kludge is a good brand even in 2023, I highly recommend them. Despite using an Anne pro 2 now

the RK71 would be great if your building a vintage/modern Hackintosh say using an Apple //e. but the Game sir, perfect for that Apple //e Platinum build if your going for a hackintosh or building it around a Raspberry Pi (case modding required for the F keys and escape key).

These are too expensive. How bout $15 to $25

Used to use RK71 and very pleased with it (mine was triple connection, not just bluetooth-wired). And now using secondhand moded RK84 (Eva foam + Akko Stabilization) because I need the F-row, feels pretty great for the price I got ($33) and also it has USB passtrough bonus for my wireless mouse!

of course typeC is better but i'm sure logitech know what they're doing

RK's keyboard have since updated their keyboards to be operated in either Wireless 2.4ghz, BT or wired type c.

i recently imported one with a aluminum CNCd chassis currently waiting on it to arrive

I just got a RK 61 and it now has USB Tyoe C. They also now use Gateron switches and they are hot swappable.

ik ik vids been out for 2 years but i just had to comment. Royal kludge intends for every one of their keyboards to be modded and makes the modding process very streamlined. If you don't want to mod, dont buy from them

A 2022 version of this would be great.

mine is a leaven k620 k550 mechanical the k620 is p700 and the k550 is p600
