NOT SURE IF SAME STORY OR SHIP- BUT MY FRIEND , MY DOG AND I SEEN THE BURNING SHIP OFF OUT TOWARDS NS WHEN WE WERE AT McAULEYS WHARF IN ELDON IN THE MID 90,S .. MY DOG WAS BARKING AND GROWLING AT IT , WAS A BRIGHT ORANGE , MOVING WITH A FIREIE LOOK TO IT WITH SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE A BOAT ON FIRE , HAPPENED FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN WAS GONE .. LOOKED LIKE A SMALLER VERSION OF THE SUN , BUT WAS FLOATING ON THE WATER

Interesting story! I am always intrigued by forerunners and most times feel the events of the 'forerunner' can be explained away...I would welcome the opportunity to debate this topic.

Great Historical Series... Thank you. I'd like to suggest a future Island topic : the "physical" building of the PEI Railway. How in the late 1800s our railway was constructed, a mammoth undertaking, who was brought in to work on the project, why the trail is winding through the Island as it does and any scandals along the way.
