Hello, thanks for this. I think in your use case you've imported (essentially made a clone) of the template repository, almost a fork without the upstream push link, instead of using the "template repository" selection in github, which If I understand correctly, makes a single squashed commit based on the head of the template repo. Have I understood this right?
