I was there that day. It was amazing to watch. Then Eddie hurt back from holding the bar up for too long, so couldn't compete in the rest of the comp, lol. Laurence Shahlaei also tore his lat during the deadlift championship, so couldn't go onto to compete in Europe's either. Thor won Europe's for the first time that day.

Now we know the source of the Hall vs. Bjornsson rivalry. Eddie was actually the Mountain's inspiration, gym nemesis, if you will.

Eddie was just doing isometric holds.

If it wasn't for the ego lifting in previous rounds he may have kept composure here.

You guys are lucky to have the first 1000 lb deadlift, its now likely the biggest goal ever in strongman. Every strongman wants a 1000 lb deadlift.

Such an Eddie Hall moment. Holding it to have an interview. It's a shame he dropped the last lift so the lift didn't count, but I think it might have given him the fire to do 500kg.

I totally get the difference 1kg makes but when rhe record ends in 1, I don't like it. Was such a clean looking number before

Peak Eddie was unstoppable, remember he is shorter then all these other guys too, his the “smaller” guy next to most of them but still out lifted them all and that’s why they call him Eddie the BEAST Hall!!!
