ОтветитьSpain got invaded... twice in 15 years.
ОтветитьWhy so many windmill? is this about netherland?
ОтветитьWe the French had the best among the Spanish elite (Louis IX as our our king or Saint Louis) and the Spanish had/has the worse among the French elite (the Bourbons) !
ОтветитьMe gusta 😎
ОтветитьAnd the final battle (easily won by the French) was close to the strait of Gibraltar. More precisely, at the tiny island of Trocadero, beside the city of Cádiz. It gave name to the famous Trocadero Square in Paris.
ОтветитьWpw. I've been studying History for over 25 years and I've never heard of this war before. You've earned yourself a subscriber, my friend.
ОтветитьWhat was the dot on the north of spain? Was it a fort? Is that why it lasted to long?
ОтветитьThat invasion came in the middle of a Spanish apocalypse. The war against Napoleon had cost half a million Spanish dead, and 300,000 French soldiers killed just 10 years earlier. At that time Spain was fighting in America with its best generals, to defend the colonies in a territory of 15 million km2. In 1823 Spain was divided, as in a civil war, so not Spain against France, but half of Spain and France against the other half. And it was an intervention decided by the countries of the Vienna congress. For all this there were no other 300,000 French soldiers killed. Then, in 1944, the Spanish republicans entered Paris first, and captured the Nazi governor, and then liberated Strasbourg.
ОтветитьWho do you expect to win?
Spanish empire or French empire
Obviously France
What's the software
ОтветитьI never knew this actually ever happened
ОтветитьBorbon dinasty is cancer
ОтветитьHow did Europe react to France invading Spain just 8 years after Napoleon? Their last invasion didn't go nearly as well.
ОтветитьExactly a year ago, this was made.
ОтветитьEurope commissioned France to invade Spain during a Spanish civil war, between liberals and absolutists. If Napoleon had 300,000 soldiers murders, here, without Napoleon the sons of Saint Louis had no chance. Only with the help of half of Spain.
ОтветитьPortugal: Intense popcorn eating*
ОтветитьIn 1823 france not invade spain bruhhh ignorant xD
Ответить...
ОтветитьHow come there isnt the same resistance like in the peninsular war
ОтветитьFrance : I swear we are not Napoléon anymore ; we paid the war réparations !
Prussia : hmmmm
France : we restored monarchy in Spain !
Austria : hmm
France : we participated to greek independance !
Russia : ...
France : We stopped Algier's piracy !
England : well I guess you can...

This is actually a civil war
ОтветитьWow they did better than Napoloen
ОтветитьBalearic Islands: "uhhh, what about us??"
ОтветитьNapoleon: sure but when i do it everyone goes crazy
Ответитьпривет! как дела? все хорошо?
ОтветитьI will die for Spain from France 🇫🇷💖🇪🇸
Ответитьthis war was the cause of the french revolts of 1830. The french monarchists, seeing the success in restoring the spanish monarchy thaught they would apply the same methods to strengthen the french monarchy.
Ответитьim surprised they let france do this only 8 years after napoleon.
ОтветитьGracias Francia por restaurar la monarquia
ОтветитьFrance be like: am here to spread freedom from the evil democracy
ОтветитьFrance be like:
"Short time ago i betrayed you why you still believe me?"
If only the Peninsular War went that well…
ОтветитьThe French knew, after the Napoleonic wars, that they were never going to win any major battle, only in Algeria or Vietnam, against armies from then underdeveloped countries. So they said: "We have to celebrate this battle that we have won thanks to the permission of the Spanish absolutists and the Holy Alliance, in the context of a civil war, because we will only become important again when Germany invades Paris." Moment when the Spanish Republicans entered Paris first, in 1944, to liberate the city and capture the Nazi governor.
ОтветитьI wonder what Napoleon would have thought of this had he lived longer.
ОтветитьWhat happened to Balearic Islands?
ОтветитьEveryone’s focusing on the war however I’m focusing on how you can see Andorra on this map
Ответитьone unfortunate town held out longer than all of spain, and you don't even know the name of these great men.
ОтветитьUs, catalans, resisting till the end. Proud of my lands and of my people who fought braveously during the war of spanish succession, the Peninsular War (here called "La Guerra del Francès", "the war of the french man"), during this invasion and during the Civil War.
ОтветитьFrance always invading from the Basque lands
ОтветитьMore than a french invasion was a french intervention helping the actual Spain, not the liberals. In fact most of the army was fighting along with france
ОтветитьFrance: manages to take control of Spain in the Iberian Peninsula
Napoleon: (who was dead by now) smirks
it wasnt a french invasion, it was an european army called los cien mil hijos de san luis that wanted to restore the absolutism in spain. it wasnt a french army, it was a multinational army
Ответить🏳️
ОтветитьStrong Pamplona, strong Alicante.
ОтветитьSpain: Removes monarchy
France: I took that personally
successed peninsular war
Ответитьthats just sad.
