I have 2 dead nucs on my workstation right now, both died because of thermal related issues. In my experience, the nuc is only viable in airconditioned offices, when used in dusty, humid and hot environments like when used as POS for small stores, the nucs quickly turn into toasters and will damage other components, especially cheaper ssd and m.2 drives.

ОтветитьAwesome video bro! I use the 8i7beh model for video editing in premiere pro and sketchup 3D. Works ok but renders quite long so I paired it with a 2nd hand gtx 1080 aorus egpu and it's become a beast of a pc however, while rendering videos, I only get around 3.1 ghz on all cores. I checked the cpu temps. It's reaching 90 degrees. So I guess that's the only downside if you wanna optimize the clock speed.
If only intel can come up with a better cooling solution, this thing would be perfect. There's Akasa cases but I bought it because of the form factor and I don't wanna jam it in a bigger case. Nonetheless, it performs more than I would expect from a super tiny pc.
