It started with NZ shearers coming here and then the idea caught on for contractor employees here to live the eternal summer. Our contractor had an employee who did this. My brothers in law built up their contracting business in a similar way. They began with bale carting and mucking out and built up from there to the big stuff.

I'm so jealous of your brother. I want to get into contract silage making. Unfortunately I don't have any tractor experience. New Zealand is some absolutely beautiful country. Love any place with wide open fields, whether it be sheep pastures or farm land.
