Wait, good way to learn are lots of tests, however she believes grades should be end of term only? Please explain the discrepancy? Formative daily or what?

Clearly educational bias impacting the true investigation. Her opinion is big topics. The facts show differently including her, many questions in contrast to her opinions.

Show me the factor analysis here if you can.

The best way to learn math is the Montessori way which starts with sensorial materials and gradually become more abstract . I’m a Montessori teacher and see amazing things happening in my class everyday. Strong sensorial math foundation is a must.

"Don't have kids JUST do lots of questions for Homework, but Ask them to Reflect on what they have learnt also..

1. What was the Big Idea you learnt today?
2. What did you find difficult?
3. What did you struggle with?
4. What was something that was exciting?

This makes children have to reflect in a deeper way.."

Also have em do lots of exam Qs

Math, one assumes there is or could something be equal. In reality nothing is equal, not even 2 hydrogen atoms. Different place they take, different history, slightly different temperature etc. pp.

Thank you, Jo looks like my lovely auntie. Gonna look for videos of kids sitting e.g., 15 min of maths in class. I think it will elevate Miss Homeschool focus and output and I can encourage her to use her time wisely. Love the use of questions to help make maths more applicable and a challenge rather than how it was viewed by kids in my time! o_O

I was a goody two shoes in school, but somehow decided to throw away teachers' explanations if it made less sense than my own understanding. I only wished I trusted myself in more than just mathematics.

In all learning there is the aspect of Theory and Application ,, now that I'm older I have really come to appreciate that much of learning would be better approached with the question of how am I going to Apply this before we start deep into the Theory, like knowing where you are and where your going before you look at the map, it all makes more sense ..........
