"Otu" (Demon) by CreatorCreepy, KineticFrost, SnowEye & more | Geometry Dash 2.2

With all the new tools, I was expecting to see a bit more faithful game recreations in 2.2, but I can't say I've seen too many personally. It may just be that I'm looking in the wrong place, though. Either way, "Otu" is a really cool one that just came out. From both the name and the visuals, it's quickly clear that this is an osu! recreation in Geometry Dash. If you're familiar with the original, you will definitely recognize everything on screen, but it's also not a complete copy; a lot of things have been adapted into Geometry Dash, such as the square logo, the style of the menus, and even the background art for iconic maps. I like this approach since it isn't a direct copy while still keeping some of the original's feeling. It also fits into Geometry Dash much better this way.

As for the gameplay, the cursor does move for you, making the only gameplay to click or hold to the circles at the correct time. This is to be expected with Geometry Dash's limited inputs, so I don't think it's a bad thing really. Now, to complete the level, you need to get at least 3M in score in total, as seen in the main menu at 0:10. Floppy, a much better osu! player than me recorded this video for the channel, so special thanks to him. He managed to get roughly 1.8M in score in this 10-minute video. With many players probably being unfamiliar with osu! too, I think this will be an Easy or Medium Demon once rated. Personally, I have played the game about 9-10 years ago, but with such a long break, it did take some time to gain score. This is also the case if you keep replaying easy maps. All in all, this is a really impressive remake of osu! and you should definitely give it a try. Aside from the gameplay, the attention to detail in the menus with even settings (shown at 0:14) being implemented is crazy.
