Heart of Longhorn Culture? "We, like all fan bases, do not appreciate prima donna famous-sons-of-NFLers laughing on our sidelines while his team is struggling to win important games." THAT is part of Longhorn Culture and Chrissy may STILL need to have that explained to him.

If it wasn't for Simms, we might not get VY. He was Mack's biggest early recruit.

I still think Mack put Chris in too early. I thought Major had a brilliant QB mind but he simply didn't have the athletic ability to make everything work. Chris was an athlete that was physically capable of so much more than Major but just lacked the experience to know what to do. If we could have put Major's head on Simms body we would have been unstoppable. I always felt bad for Chris because some of the criticism he got at UT simply wasn't fair. I am sure he was happy to win the starting job but I felt like his progress was rushed and he left unfinished. Just my two cents.

"I don't think Texas fans enjoy players who laugh on the sidelines as their teammates are getting beat. There's just something about those optics - even if it was Mack Brown's first (and last) big time recruit. I think that person might be forever stained. Whatcha think, Chrissy?"

Crazy to think of 2 million people mashed together now adays. I remember in 2000 they had bad traffic with not even close to that many people. Not to mention the growth around Austin

Simms was a good QB for the Longhorns and had a good career in the NFL. I myself have always thought that Colt McCoy was a legendary QB because he’s was part of a national championship winning team and Mack
Brown was HC.

I've watched a lot of interviews with Sark over the years and this is one of the best. Chris asks great questions and gets very real and honest answers. Does Sark have some kind of filter on in his video? It looks a little weird or too polished.

I knew Sark when he was at BYU. He was intense, yet kind to others. He was a very good qb, regularly broke the Ute's hearts.

Look at Hutson he was the first of the 2022 OL to commit and get into McCombs Business school and graduates in May 2025. He also has started and backed up and stayed because of the Culture and wanting to be a great teammate and play football on the greatest stage in College Football. Loyalty, Commitment and Execute on the field the classroom and in the Texas community.

3 most important recruits in modern Texas history are simms (changed the perception of the program), VY (obvious) and ewers (re-established the program, gave sark credibility)... and a lot of Texas fans treat 2 of them poorly. boggles my mind
