8 reasons God wants you to go to CHURCH

Soo people are to go to a church building even though its most likely going to be false teaching? Didn't John the Baptist father have a whole temple yet God sent him to the wilderness to preah The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand. When He says when two or more are gathered I will be in their midst but not before telling you 2 people people can't walk together unless they agree; and again if the blind lead the blind do they not both fall into a pit? , also lets not forsake the gathering together as some people do is to not turn back to sin and give up the faith as some people do and to keep believing of us being gathered to Him on that day? Is it not written twice in Kings and Chronicles if there is no shepard to go each to their own house. Is it also not written that there should be no division among you yet thousands of denominations and none are in the Bible. See how satan works? God is not the author of confusion yet thats all there is .. The Kingdom of Heaven is At Hand !!!

Not on Sundays but on the 7th Day after god finish his work he rested an the 7th Day which Saturday. That is clear in Genesis 1,2

We don't get weird, we get lonely and depressed if we are not around people of like precious faith and that's why we need each other, not just when we go to gather together but during the week when there is no set church service, we need to be more engaging with one another but people are so busy and don't fellowship as much as the Early church did, going from house to house 😢Although, the modern church isn't the same as the Early church in the books of Acts.
Today they have stages where they have many songs, choirs etc with all these colored lights and it seems like a concert at some places more then it does church

Hmmm . . ."The early believers would gather every Sunday" . . .? I don't think so. I'm afraid when I heard that I couldn't proceed any more with the video, even though I wanted to in order to get some tips on how to improve the church I attend. Jesus, Paul and the disciples were Jews and so they would meet on the Sabbath. Sunday IS NOT the Sabbath, and this IS quite a major mistake for a Christian pastor to make.

I know this video is old, but your teaching is spot on. Was looking for a teaching you may have done about Christians choosing to not attend church. My in-laws are in this boat, as are many of our friends' parents. I also appreciate the comparison of church hurt to racism.

I stopped going to church after I what happened to me personally and after watching the Benny hinn documentary he’s going to be ministering in my church Christ Embassy I fear so much if am listening to the right messages but then am healing and am going back to church not because of men of God but because of Jesus Christ

that's all good and dandy i've been to multiple churches in my area they either endorse female pastors and do infant baptism. these issues go against scripters so what am i to do , all i can do is study the scripters and pray that the lord will help and guide me to a trusting and faithful bound church

I'll give you a reason because the church is the body of Christ with many members I agree with the fellowship the fellowship but we are to have fellowship with those in the body of Christ and to encourage one another in faith enter lift each other up I believe that you're saying church as we are to go to a building why are you confused that the building is not the church that the church is the body of Christ which is those who believe so there's a great reason not to also the church has been corrupted and given Power by the minister on the pulpit that tells you how to have a relationship instead of the Holy Spirit which will guide you how to have a relationship therefore I hope you don't take this offensive but if you do it is because you are offended by truth thank you for hearing me out and hopefully you will find what is true you won't find it in the building you will find it amongst the body of believers which is the church

The more you study the spoken words of Jesus, the more you realize that these churches are not the true church.

My church does not prioritize scripture so I seek Bible studies at surrounding churches. I now attend 3 weekly Bible studies at 3 different churches.
I have zero desire to attend Sunday services and I’ve determined that I will NEVER become a “member” of any church.

They definately did not go to church on sundays..... I think this person needs to look more into this. The sabbath day was changed by the roman catholics after they attended church on Saturdays.

Church has become a top priority in my life but that has not been like that all of my life! I was always a believer but I didn't start going to Church until later in life. I am in my early fifties and look forward to going to Church in person every Sunday morning! No Church is perfect and it sometimes takes time to find one that you like or switch to a different Church after a period of time. I love worshipping in a full Church with others as it lifts me up!

Mike you truly are a Buildboard for man religious church... In the beginning the Church gathered to gather on Saturday, the Sabbath... I grew up loving man church, until I started noticing man would do anything to fill the seats and did not care how these people would treat each other. What once was Gods Church is now man's church buildings. But it does my heart good that you do recognize what the Church truly is, the People. Someday maybe you will realizes talking on the tub is like padding a man on the back as you push him out the door with an empty stomach and pockets... You give reasons to support man but no reason to support the assembling of the Church. You cannot see the dying forest for the trees. Is it not time we move pass being Hypocrites...?

Too much Church hurt. Also, the amount of money spent on High Def Video Screens, State-of-the-Art Sound Systems, Coffee Bars, etc... not to mention Pastors living in $1Million + Mansions is anything but Christian. Also, once your seen how the sausage is made (the Big Business of Church), it's very dark.

I love my Church! We are all growing together and seeing Jesus's Life flow out of each one and into the other. The preaching is focused on Jesus as well as the singing. We encourage each other and pray for each other! I wish the same for everyone here ❤🙏

Your reasons against are a bit hyperbolic. You make it sound like someone is a total hermit if they don't gather at a building. A big reason for gathering 2000+ years ago is because bibles didn't really exist. 95% of the "churches" today try to increase membership, not actually winning over souls and preach the same milk toast messages week after week. I'll continue to fellowship with family and friends and use what God has blessed me with to give directly to the widows. the poor and those in need, not to salaries, building mortgages, insurance, musical instruments, sound systems, maintenance and so on. Most of today's "churches" are nothing like what was prescribed in the bible.

Jack Jones, you might want to read that verse carefully. I don't know how you could possibly think that is what the verse is saying. The Bible is warning God's elect cover to cover about this thing many refer to as "church". God separates His elect and calls them OUT of this harlot religious system. There's no way to remain in Christianity and have any chance of understanding the scriptures. That's why there are thousands of divided denominations and carnal sects who oppose each other and contradict each other. The faith of those attending these temples is solely in the wisdom of men, not the wisdom that cones only from God. This presenter is just as blind as the pulpit pimps who deceive the masses, the many workers of iniquity. Thefew who find the narrow path that leads to righteousness have left the building after hearing the voice of the Good Shepherd, the ONLY Good Teacher.

What about when Jesus says not to call anyone of the earth father. Isn’t that a direct contradiction to calling a priest father? And when he says in John 2:19 to burn down the temple because of iniquitous behavior and that it will be rebuilt in 3 days(indicating that the temple is his body). I think the preface of what church is is counterintuitive to the message. He also says the man who looks back after using the plough will not get into heaven. And that being overly public about worship is a sin. All these indicate to me to not go to church and that church is inside of Me. Just an opinion. Church people seem like they just want church points and didn’t even read the book. Also only the 11 apostles (after Judas) ministered. I don’t think he meant anyone. He meant those few people.

What does the BIBLE say about the idea of attending church? Nothing. It says nothing about it.

This video has errors... Just saying. Early believers gathered on Sunday... Uh no!!! Mas and the Sabbath were on Saturday.... Up until a few hundred years ago when the Roman Catholic ( Pagen Sun God Worshippers) Changed it to Sunday. So ...... Hmmm...

Does this make sense that I don't think I need a church to worship God that I believe I can worship God everyday and I don't need to be surrounded by believers to believe as I myself know I believe and pray everyday and hold a half hr hr a week or day to devote to God and reading the Bible and talking to god

I was doing some campus evangelism yetstday, and a bunch of the students I was talking to said they were Christian but hadn’t been attending a church all school year or only watching services online. I knew this wasn’t right, but I didn’t have the greatest arguments for it. Thanks for the video, I’ll be ready for next time!

I disagree on some points. The first one is that I dont believe scripture supports Mikes beliefe that "when the Christians gather THEN they become the Church" also many of the passages he qouted are descriptions in a historical document. How does he justify converting those descriptions into prescriptions. Church is for edification. I get very little to no edification at the churches Ive attended. Motivational speeches? You bet! Twisting Gods word to fabricate more motivational speeches? Yep. Spiritualization of everything? Yes. Hypnotic manipulation of music and lighting to set the tone and cause the church goers to fall into an emotional trance? Everytime. But edification? No. I worship God. I am obsessed with Him, Theology, Historicity of the Bible to serve in Apologetics and discernment. I share my faith with whoever I can, whenever the smallest opportunity arises. I worship God in my studies of Him and His word. I worship God with my love of outdoors while Im hunting, trapping, camping etc. I worship God by using the wonderful rational mind He gave me as a pursue knowledge in anything from woodworking, to firearm ballistics to aviation. I feel for those stuck in the mentality that we are to be tied to a certain group of people or a certain groups schedule or a certain location whether we like it or not. Whether it feels wrong or not. Mike is a great teacher and has edified me A LOT over the years. But I dont see much biblical evidence from this video. Reading descriptions as a prescriptions is never smart and has led to some WEIRD theology.

Almost every church I've been to are all smiles and hugs INSIDE the walls of the building but dont bother with me outside of the building.. even if I invite and offer to pay for lunch or whatever.. even after I asked why they only hug and smile inside on sundays but nothing else outside of the church they still ignore me. I can only assume its me, or its fake.

Early believers did not gather on Sunday morning. Nor did they have a " church building". They fellowshipped in homes and caves because Christianity was illegal..

Wasn't it said that we should equip yourself with the knowledge of god and not be divided these days it feels that churches are that divided each one believing their faith is stronger or their faith is better ... We are one with Christ so why can't all churches at some point exchange ideals and communicate and become one that to me who be better

It’s encouraging that you recognize and see what church actually is. Church isn’t a place you go to on Sunday mornings. Church is gathering with other believers, on a consistent basis, and growing in the Lord and in relationship and love with eachother.
