I have a question that contradicts 2 of these points. I'm an avid gamer/pc builder and video games (as crazy as It may sound) have been a huge part of my life, between being the only way to connect with friends or part of my meditation/ relaxation. Is it wrong to include my children into that part of my life (enjoying what I enjoy) or is gaming just going to be a distractionM 😢

I'm trying so hard to be a better father. I love him so much. I didn't have a great dad but but I have an amazing mother. I sadly learned from him. I'm just disappointed I waited 6 years to try with my son.

Think of families where emotional and mental abuse is rife. This is an abhorrent use of "mental power." It rebounds to the abuser in many, many ways—ill-health, sickness, addiction, depression and loss of self-esteem.

However, do not use your brains, intellect, insight, knowledge and education as a platform from which to criticize, judge or condemn others who do not measure up to your own standards of efficiency or goodness in any area of your life.

At the same time—since to criticize, judge and condemn is as natural as breathing to the selfhood/personality (humanhood)—do not attempt to deny your perceptions of what might be improved. To do so is to deny the reality of the evolutionary process.

Watching this video while my wife is 4 months pregnant, but we found out there are two of them !

1. Recognize Difference 2. Eliminate our distraction and spend quality time for child 3. Answer them and let them they are enough 4. Need to look for teaching moments, it is not about discipline. It is the job of father to be a coach 5. Okay to be silly at times with our kids 6. Okay to be nosey- Know what are they being taught, get engaged, get involved 7. Consider getting involved in their extra curricular activities 8. Be the Dad first- It is dad first and be the friend later 9. Get them involved with you- Take them to your shop, to your race be engaged with them 10. Teach your kids the value of hard work, they don't deserve anything by default but they have to work towards it

My oldest is 4 and a half. I was abusing weed and spent most of the days locked in my room. I decided to be a better father and currently have goals and plans to take my kids and myself to a on a journey full of success. Keep me in your prayers.

So what do we do with the feeling of “I screwed up” and daughter is 17? I don’t feel I have the same relationship with her as I do my 9 year old. I kinda learned on the first. Regrets.
