It's so divisive. How will we ever know what the actual answer is? Truly, he wanted to manipulate as many people as he possibly could. Did he enjoy it? Yeah, obviously. Otherwise he wouldn't have done it. But did it feel good after he did it? Fucked if any of us know. They always claim that it's just urges that come over them and naturally they keep going back to those same urges so they try their darnedest not to get caught instead of just turning themselves in. But from the point after the one kill to the next, that grey area there is always the thing that people want to understand. Do they already think about killing someone else and just absent-mindedly do away with the previous body in a quiet manner, or is there a moment where they just absorb what they did and fight with themselves? It's always the question everyone has. And we just never seem to get a straight answer.

Because no matter how much we want to believe some part of Ted Bundy was remorseful, he was still a fucked up person whose logic was ultimately flawed.

He may be trying to hide a smile that he knows is not appropriate, it's true. However, some people who have a neurodivergent disorder sometimes have difficulty with emotional regulation - for example, laughing inappropriately or an inability to stop crying. It would have been interesting to have been able to treat Ted Bundy with the psychiatric and neuro meds that are available today.

From one frame... from one fraction-of-a-second facial expression... you make a whole assessment? I'm not saying Ted wasn't bad, or even that your assumption is definitely wrong but.... it is quite a stretch to use one moment's facial expression of a person that is actively interacting with another person, to determine their emotions or intentions right in that moment. We all make weird,unintended face expressions without realizing it all the time. This really feels like a stretch.. an abusrd one.
