Reolink Argus PT and Solar Panel - Wireless Solar Powered Pan and Tilt WiFi Camera

Since filming I have moved the camera and solar panel to a less sheltered area and am happy to report that the battery level is now being maintained at 100%. Happy Days :)

I bought one of these cameras and sent it back for a refund, as despite it being only 12 feet away from my Netgear ORBI RBK50 mesh Wi-Fi router (which has a 4,000 square feet range) it kept on dropping out and would intermittently stream or fail to connect altogether whenever I tried to access it via the app or my PC. Incidentally, I have 2 other Ring cameras in my garden, sited further away than where I mounted this device, and they work perfectly. So, my advice would be to avoid this camera altogether, unless you plan on sticking it to the side of your wireless router where you may have some chance of it actually working properly. totally useless!

Hi. Can this camera be connected to Wi-Fi through mobile Hotspot?

I own this camera but will not recommend it. The battery cannot be charged enough during the winter days and you cannot replace the battery because is not replaceable. After a week testings and checks by Reolink remote support and some negotiations they finally agree to replace the camera but on my own post expenses. They are around more than half of the price of the camera. I will definitely not recommend this camera at all. Look at their other models or better other brand.

Best review on this cam I've seen thus far. It's on a deal with Amazon with the solar panel, so just wanted to check it out first!

You made an exhaustive review.Thank you. There is only a question i still have. I think infrared leds for night vision make the typical dim red light in the dark. If so, may you take a photo of the intensity of the ir led during the night? According to your experience, if this camera is useful into the countryside without being seen easily by people?. Thank you

Thanks for the great video, Kev! I have a few Reolink cameras (earlier versions) and have found them to be great. I also have a solar panel... need to set that one up. ;)

Good review Kev. I have done 2 reviews on 2 different Reolink products. The E1 Pro Pan And tilt and the 6 camera dome system with 2 tb nvr. I do like the voice prompts when setting up the camera. The solar panel should probably be in a more open area. The night mode looks good too. Thumbs up.

Nice video. Reolink is a good brand. I've actually got the RLC-520 at home sitting in a box ready to set up at some point.
