To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science. —Albert Einstein
In 2013 the Planck spacecraft observations of the cosmic microwave background gave an estimate of 68.3% dark energy, 26.8% dark matter, and 4.9% baryonic matter.
Science, together with music, is the greatest accomplishment of the human mind. Creation scientists, however, use and misuse scientific evidence as drunkards use light posts—not for illumination but for support. Most of us are lazy and gullible. That’s why we want simple answers to the complex questions of physics, cosmology, and life; that’s why we prefer to read and believe holy books and their childish fairy tales than to tackle the rigorous scientific explanations of cosmology and life. 💕 ☮ 🌎 🌌

Dimensions are not static, scale is not static, relationships are not static, the only thing that might be a constant is ratio.
The universe is fractal in the golden mean.

On the limits of cosmology, that could be true, but is overly pessimistic I think. Nature is full of surprises, and thus so is science, with unexpected discoveries and new technologies opening unthought-of avenues of investigation.

Interesting interview (as ever). I remember reading John Horgan’s book, “The End of Science”, which predicts that Physics experiments will either get so expensive eg. beyond the LHC, or we will reach a natural physical limit for testing out theoretical predictions. Horgan got widely unfriended for the book, but String theory seems to be drying up, no Supersymmetrical particles have been detected at current energies, and many untestable models seem to predominate (eg. M-Theory). Has Physics peaked? I wonder therefore if it’s time for Biology to become the new leading edge, especially molecular biology, with new tools like CRISPA and gene drive, new understanding such as epigenetics, EvoDevo and the “New Synthesis” and promising cross disciplines such as Quantum Biology?

Just remember that all these mainstream scientists think gravity is the primary force at work in the universe, that stars are nuclear reactors, that black holes actually exist (Einstein thought not) and are at the center of most galaxies, that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate, that most of the universe is made of non-baryonic matter, that spacetime is not just a mathematical tool but an actual representation of cosmic stricture, and that a big bang happened 14 billion years ago. Oh Mr. Kuhn, your famous relative did such a great job of describing how scientists love their paradigms and positions so much more than the pesky anomalies that won't go away. And then there are all the unending adjustments to the models, tweaks that look a lot like epicycles. Why not consider interviewing scientists who are really at odds with the standard models in whatever area you like? Remember, the real paradigm shifts will at first be dismissed and then ridiculed and then attacked, and will ultimately feel like a real crisis to the mainstream. Why not do some special, outside the box interbiews? Call them "Outside the Box" and excuse them as experimental, or as for purposes of historic record! What are you afraid of?

I disagree that there will be a limit to cosmology. I think as we discover more and as we evolve, we will discover more and more on subtle levels currently not even dreamed of!

Watching this right after finish reading The Perfect Theory 2014 by Pedro Ferreira. Love the book.
