If you pass assessment and selection, do you get a box of crayons?
ОтветитьBRAINWASHING TRASH!!! USA GO TO HELL !!!
Ответитьhmmm, right away you start yaking how good you are, haha
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьRegular Marines do not hate or dislike Recon.... I witnessed nothing but deep awe and respect and reverence for Recon from even Staff NCOs and Officers towards much lower rank Recon Marines.
ОтветитьWith all thats written and filmed about SEALS, Delta, Rangers, Green Berets, etc.. Force Recon is virtually unheard of and most non Marines do not know of their existence. Semper Fi
ОтветитьBro I swear every force recon guys I ever met are fucking huge. Is there like a minimum height requirement of at least 6”4 and like 250 lbs jacked? I met least least 5 during my time in the army and once before military. I’m convinced yall low key jokingly have some type of requirement like that.i had to take a drug class for being caught with weed. This was back in early 2000s when I was in Hs and weed wasn’t legal yet. Yes it was practically like a speeding ticket but just for having weed. Shit was so dumb. The instructor for that class was an ex force recon. 6”6 260-270 lbs black dude. Yall look like linebackers. 🤣. And I can tell u the difference. Force recon guys SF of the marines while marine raiders get butt hurt when u think force recon are the SF of the marines. lol. Yes I went to grad school with a raider n I honestly didn’t know wth a raider does. Just know they are a part of Marsoc n they been deactivated then reactivated sometimes during. GWOT era. Dude got so butt hurt after that we didn’t vibe at all. He tried to give me that e8 attitude just because I got out as an e5 but I been out as a civilian for a minute while he was barely a year out. I tried to be cordial and offer friendly advice with just vet to vet transiting out stuff so I let it slide first but when he started saying “ so what I did this and blah blah.” That’s when I had to check him and say dude what u did in the military don’t mean shit out here In The civilian world unless those skill can add value to someone or something. I’m sure he didn’t like it that a younger 5”5 dude wasn’t having his shit. I’m just naturally loud n the fact that I put it out there for my classmates if they ever need help with navigating thru VA system or help with benefits i got them. Having worked for the VA over 10 years. We got into a petty shouting session one time but end of the day when we had a group project together we were able to do our parts like professionals. At a point I thought maybe it’s me but I found out for another buddy that was a WO-4 in a Raider unit told me dude was giving him bad vibes too so I didn’t feel bad after. But ya ever since that, I told myself if I ever bump into any more raiders imma troll the shit out of them for fun. And if they gonna go Karen on me welp too bad, I’ll just be petty 😂
Ответитьback in 1970, I'd go out with two Maine Recon on SAR's missions while stationed at Chu Lai.
ОтветитьAs a former marine combat veteran, and and witnessing navy seals take every mission away from Marine force recon. I can assure you that Maroc is a better pathway. prove me wrong I fucking dare you … 1/6 hard.
ОтветитьYou need to explain to the audience Operational Command (OPCOM), Tactical Command (TACOM) and Administrative Command (ADCOM). The Corps alway retains ADCOM of all Marines. But, sounds like OPCOM for the Raiders is SOCOM and not a MEU/MAGTAF.
Ответитьis it to late to become recon or marsocc? At age 26 or 27
ОтветитьMy Great Great Grandfather Evens Carlson made the Raider’s and I am the 5 generation of him and I thank you for your service and thank for keeping him legacy alive
Ответить"Only those men ready to kill or be killed should apply!"
Damn!!!
What is your opinion on the US Navy Seals?
ОтветитьI’m 2014 my so was in high school and wanted a Force Recon Contract. He was only offered 0311 Rifleman. He signed the DEP program. (Delayed Entry Program). He would be able to try out for Recon once he graduates Boot Camp. He graduated school on May 30th, with a leave date of June 23rd. One week before he was to leave for Boot his Recruiter called and said if you get to my office in 2hrs we are holding a Force Recon Contract for you, but you have to sign a 5yr contract instead of 4. He wanted to be Force Recon since he was 12yrs old. He was one of the few that went to Boot Camp with a Force Recon Contract. Never give up on your dreams. 🇺🇸🦅
ОтветитьI just heard that they are going to disband the Marine Raider Program. Is this true? I also heard they got rid of the Marine Scout Sniper Program. However, I heard the Marine Recons are keeping their Scout Sniper Program.
ОтветитьIn 1995, I was flying to Okinawa as a New Cpl (only 20 years old btw) to do a 1 year "Deployment". Just so happened that the 50 year Aniversery of WW2 ending was that same time period and the flight that I was on was FULL of Marine Corps WW2 veterans that fought on Okinawa and Suribachi. IT WAS AMZING. Here I was in my Alphas flying to my duty station and the guy next to me WAS A RAIDER!!! They busted my balls the entire flight. From the moment I got on the plane this old Captain says to me " WTF are you doing here son, you're a little late for the war" lol It was great. The best part was they were all drinking and got me complete shit faced. I didn't buy a single drink btw. I woke up as we were landing then got to report into my new command in disheveled Alphas and an enormous hangover. Its a memory that I will always cherish because it really showed me (minus the countless BS) what being a Marine was all about.
ОтветитьI really do wish I had tried out for Recon and MARSOC. I never got a chance to work with them until we had a recon guy fall back to our unit after an incident, and when his friends from the unit dropped by to hang out during their Mojave viper, realised how much fun it would have been. though got bored being a regualr guy pretty quick, genuinely wish I had given recon a shot
ОтветитьI love reading the " hide behind internet keypad while living in mom's basement commenters ". Taking potshots at the people that have kept your freedom of speech going all the way back to the founding of our country. Never served but respect anyone that has. Weeks after high school I enlisted in hell and I'm talking marriage with kids. During the revolution war it is believed 1/3 of colonists fought the remaining 2/3 waited till one side was getting close to victory and then pretending to always support them.
For those commenters living in mom's basement please switch the washed clothes into the drier and fold the dried clothes. Next time mom brings down your hot pocket and juice box please be sure to thank her and tell her you love her
I missed the formation of the Raiders by a few years but i loved my years in Force Recon.
ОтветитьAn inspiration to all. Thank you from the depths of my heart. If I wasn’t a woman, I would have loved to follow this path…It’s tough at 60yo to realize there was more out there than I knew…then of course I’m a woman…Yup, I’m not stupid, I’m a woman that’s too small to carry on my back, the gear required.
ОтветитьMy assistant scoutmaster in boy scouts was a marine recon in the 80s. He taught me a lot not only how to be a man, but how to survive. When I got my eagle he got my mentor pin

ОтветитьMarine recon and Marine Corps raiders are 2 elite units talk about hard-core made bad asses who can do it all
ОтветитьThanks for giving the MEU SOC's the props they deserve.
ОтветитьI was peacetime 85. I had the record for Meritorious awards cleaning shitters and busting suds. My best service was the generater electrician was for a captain of a 3rd Marine Company. They washed him out for not on line fast enough for Major. When he left so did most of his men, or boys. We would have folled that guy into hell.
ОтветитьRecon is way beter
ОтветитьAlex........Tugu Tani
Ответитьinvictus victorious
ОтветитьAre rangers not part of socom?
ОтветитьWhat was that keyboard bit at the beginning. Comes of a bit insecure.
ОтветитьThanks for the explanation, and respect for your time served.
ОтветитьRecon will save the raiders from the troubles places...rs
ОтветитьYut. Yut...
ОтветитьThank the Corps for kicking my ass and making me a Marine

Never enlisted. Lived in camp Lejune in NC for 3 years. Everyone told me they were miserable and it was a mistake. So I stayed away from enlisting. Now I regret it. I think it would have been good and the health benefits would have been cool too. I workout a lot I’m always lifting running eating right so I think I would have fit in good now.
ОтветитьHoorah ❤
ОтветитьMy brother 03 17 Scout Sniper, took his life after his 8th attempt last week, at the same time the only guy that came off that plane after his third deployment was also in the room cuddling his dead body for about a week until I found them. I wish someone could tell me more about what they did. My brother who I won't name here. Looking at some paperwork it shows his training and his deployments are as follows:
1998 Bosnia, Combat Support
1999 Haiti Humanitarian Support
2002 Operation Iraqi Freedom: Task Force Tarawa
2003 Iraq Reinforce Coalition Forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom
2004 School of Infantry instructor
Thanks to anyone who can help with what happened in 2002-2003.
Marine Raiders are a special operations force that operates under JSOC and SOCOM like the Green Berets, Delta Force, SEAL Team Six, and Air Force 24th STS, while Marine Force Recon does not.
Ответить...did he say "theyr trained to HUMP-in...." ??? 😮
ОтветитьWhile I was with 5th Marines , 89-93, I believe the Recon Battalions were split with a company being attached to different Infantry battalions.
ОтветитьYou were even a 03-1100 MOS in the first place. Candy Ass.
Ответить🩸🇺🇸🩸
ОтветитьNot the first special operations the military had buddy. The Marines wanted to be a part of SOCOM, they ended up having to make their own special operations, having an envy that their PR department wasn't convincing the American public that the USMC was the best (no special operators.)
Glad to see the Corps hasnt changed lol still driven by ego and lying
Dude, this was awesome ... but the most important info in this video..?
JON STEVENS' how to behave outside of combat env. Just invaluable.
