This removes the fears! Love it!
ОтветитьThat was awesome thank you I'm a newbie I by second hand everything paper books paint stamps ect it then allows creativity with out the price tag if I get into it more then I might spend a little money ❤
ОтветитьWow you can stock up on them with the back to school cheap then
ОтветитьI wish you had mentioned what pens you use over acrylic paint because any pens I use get gunked up and stop working... Any tips?
ОтветитьThank you for the lovely info, I love using comp books, but have only used acrylic, you have inspired me to slap some water color in the next one.
ОтветитьLove it! Got a few at dollar store
ОтветитьThis was so helpful. Thank you so much. I am the opposite of an artist, (don’t know the word for that). But I am getting into junk journaling and want to make art journals for my granddaughters ages 6 and 8. I really enjoy your non stress teaching style.
ОтветитьYou look like you are 26 yrs old!! I love your positive energy. Thank you for your videos. I am a beginner and am going to learn a lot from your channel.
ОтветитьI’ve done this before, but the pages become too wrinkled. How do you make your pages smooth and shiny??
ОтветитьLove your video !!!
ОтветитьThank you, I’m just learning. I’m using many supplies from my son’s school art class. I love how you prepare your pages. I found your work fantastic as you flicked through the pages. ❤
ОтветитьThose books maybe inexpensive but they are of a good quality. But not necessarily for set media.
I like the colours and patterns you used.if you were using heavier paper would you still bulk up the paper? If you were using the ideal weight of paper what would you use?
Do you wver use gesso for prepping the pages?
ОтветитьWhat a refreshing message! Thanks for the reminder that money isn’t the most important factor in being creative. Most appreciated. 😃
ОтветитьThat was an icebreaker for me, thank you
ОтветитьThank you for all the information you gave, it is hard right know to get everything in my head to the paper. I hope this will help me release all my bottled up creativity to flow again. Hugs from Utah
ОтветитьI agree to all you said. !! Watching from Germany ❤️🙋
ОтветитьThank you thank you thank you! I’ve been wondering how to use my old food journals for art journaling… Now I have the answer… Love your site, just subscribed… your art is amazing! Keep creating☺️
Ответитьi LOVE UR VIDEOS
ОтветитьLove this video tutorial. Every page is beautiful. So inspired. Going to watch this one over and over. Pinned! Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьGreat video! I love your Art and how you go about it.
ОтветитьI love mine, and they've held up so well too! {And love the crinkly sound}.
ОтветитьAwesome 💖💖💖. Just a question… what do you do with these books after you finish.. apart from going through it… If you are selling why would people buy?? How will they use it??
ОтветитьAlisa you always, always inspire me. I can't believe how talented you have both in art and teaching.
ОтветитьThis was really helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьDo you have a recommendation for inexpensive matte paint?
ОтветитьThis was the exact video I was looking for thanks. I've just ordered some of these books to use. It actually cost me just over £10 for 3 coz I'm in the UK. But I still thought that was pretty reasonable.
ОтветитьThis principle is applicable to so many practices, not just art. I constantly have to remind myself of this, because it’s so easy to fall for the FOMO and to procrastinate on starting a new hobby, craft, or project. I love how you explained it here. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьDo you stick 2 or more pages to make it thicker?? Also I would like to know which medium are you using...watercolour or acrylic??
ОтветитьI have used fancy nice leather journals and sketchbooks too. But I ALWAYS go back to the composition notebooks!!! I love them. They’re low pressure but so inviting and easy to create in. They also feel nostalgic of school and child/teen hood.
Ответитьappreciate this video. So, you did not remove any pages of the composition notebook nor did you glue any together? Yet the composition book did not get too thick, like an accordion? Appreciated seeing the difference between watercolor (which is all I have used so far) and matte acrylic. I just subscribed and signed up for a class!
ОтветитьNew subscriber here. LOVED this lesson! You explained/taught very well, clearly and I understood it all. I have been driving myself crazy about how to do an Art Journal! I have seen many videos, but they don't really seem like ART JOURNALS. It confuses me when people add pkts., ephemera, stickers, etc. I know how to make junk journals and combinations of those. I wanted an art journal! Can't afford Mixed Media journals now (which was what I was told I HAD to use); so this video saved my sanity! I will definitely make exactly this way---Comp. Notebk! Have lots. Thank you so much🙂😊.
ОтветитьWow...I love this....tks so much for sharing....
ОтветитьWowzer! I just happened on you in the wee hours of the morning and became a new subbie! I think I was supposed to see you tonight! I love comp books for journaling and glue booking. Now you've sold me on doing art journals in them! Sure beats the fancy ones! I'll save those for when I get good enough! Thank you so much! Can't wait to start one and to watch more of your videos!❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьMy 10yr. Old granddaughter does this. She used to just draw on loose paper now she displays them in a notebook. Plus she can get away with drawing in school on the sly. Pretty sneaky of her.
ОтветитьAlisa thank you so much for your thought process. I am new to your channel and Ijust love your way of thinking. Best!
ОтветитьI loved this video!! I go back and forth between enjoying painting and not enjoying it. But this gave me a whole new idea. I also feel like this would be a great idea to do for my toddler boys to document things they say and that I always want to write down but rarely do. Thank you! First video I’ve watched of yours. 😊
ОтветитьYour explanations are so clear and precise. You have a very pleasant voice and presentation style. I am guilty of buying supplies instead of using them. I am going to try your suggestion and just do it. Thanks for sharing❣️
ОтветитьNew here.
I also only use composition notebooks. I paint pages to. I do it right before bed. If I get to much paint. I place bubble wrap on top and smash it into the paint.
During the day I work on another jornal.
Thanks for more ideas about painting
Beautiful 🎨📓! TFS
ОтветитьI got a ten pack of graph lined composition books for my children’s math assignments during COVID. They don’t need them anymore. I have been using them for Morning Pages but don’t like all the lines. It makes it hard to see what I’ve written. Had planned to get rid of them but now I’m inspired! I’ll go back over my Morning Pages and I’ll start making layouts in the blank ones! Thank you!
ОтветитьNew subscriber here! I loved your videos and the comments below! I am on a limited income and just cringe when I screw up something in my mixed media or watercolor journals. This is fabulous!! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьCan we do mixed media in the composition books? And can we use gesso?
ОтветитьJust what I needed! TFS!
ОтветитьI just started art journaling on my dollar store note book and glue paper in to fortify it. It’s so great to just play around and not have to make a masterpiece on canvas. I’ll have to give this a try.
ОтветитьFirst time here and this was great! I have made these in the past and now I’m ready to do it again!! Question did you take out any pages??
ОтветитьQue uso para las hojas? Pega? Eso ayuda para que la pintura no se traspase?
ОтветитьThat's amazing!
