Mickey Newbury wrote so many great songs that I love but if I was forced to choose just one MN song as my favorite this is the one I would choose.

Mickey was a unique artist. There was no one like him. Well, maybe Gordon Lightfoot. Mickey had such a vision. This is one of his most wonderfully crafted songs.
