This land system isn't new, for what I know Duel Masters (a japanese game which was kinda hot 15 years ago) had a very similar mechanic. Also Duel Master was really cool as a kid, the shield system was fun

I'm pretty gutted Lorcana isn't being released here in NZ. I have an 8 year old daughter who recently got in to Pokémon TCG and is just about the exact target audience for this game. I guess the upside is that I'll save a ton of money.

Good to have opinions that are about gameplay experience + mechanics, and not about corporate bandwagoning or art style or whatever other superfluous bullshit. Appreciate the succintness too.

The good thing about big questing creature hard to remove is that damage stay on them. Some time u just have to keep attacking 3 turn straight the same creature to take it down

The one issue I have with the game is how often games go to a top deck war( because you are only drawing 1 card a turn, and most turns you are inking a card and playing a few cards, and the lack of card draws), but I am not sure if it’s just because it’s the first set and there are not enough powerful cards yet. I am curious to hear any one with experience playing MTG in its early days if topdeck war is something that also happened frequently?

I like Precon decks because building decks is boring to me andI just enjoy playing it. Having balanced decks makes the game that much better for me to play.

I’m sure others like building and the aspects of building better decks and winning that way is satisfying. That’s fine but I just want a fair game.
