Great lineup! I’ve used many of these. And my favorite by far is ADS Hero. Just works great and nice to use. Also one of the slickest on the surface.
ОтветитьWatched the video even thought I don’t use rinseless or waterless washes just cause they are inferior to a water/soap bucket wash🧼.
ОтветитьWhat about whether or not it’s required to or safest to wear gloves while using each one? I’m very confused on this. Due to how diluted they are, is it necessary? I notice the CC one says to wear gloves
ОтветитьYou can do the product-rinse-product method with these using a pump sprayer. I use an electric one
ОтветитьI realize it’s too late to add yet another brand, but I stand by “ Ultima “ - it’s incredible! In both Rinseless and Waterless —-just my 2 cents !!
ОтветитьUltima is a bit pricey !
ОтветитьMissing Detail Co NEMESIS!!!! A must.
ОтветитьThe comment I always hear when the debate about "leaving something behind" is there's nothing being left behind that would interfere with an other product (sealant, etc). Can't wait for the results. I like the RRW, Absolute and ONRv5. DON'T shake the Absolute (rock it gently)!!!!!!😎
ОтветитьYou know how I feel, after I posted that NOVEL of a personal experience on Rinseless (Armour Hero).
I'll be excited to see how these break down, in your testing.
I personally keep P&S Absolute and Amour Hero.
Absolute is really SLICK. I use it almost exclusively as a detailer/drying aid/clay lube. It's pretty economical, so I'm not shy about using a lot of it.
Amour Hero is my king of clean. It's maybe not overly slick (I think it's plenty adequate). But I find it really breaks down the dirt. I use it as a presoak/primary riseless.
DIY Detail V2 is sorta like a hybrid of the two. It foams in a pump foamer, so that's kinda nice.
ALSO, I found, in my experience, that different rinseless washes prefer/will tolerate different wash media (Mitt vs Microfiber towel vs Sponge).
Rinseless Sponge (I've been using the heck out of the DIY Detail Legacy sponge) is almost universally good. Multiple towels are also pretty good. Mitt is less than ideal.
The DIY rinseless wash leaves nothing behind. Also Phoenix EOD Hydra leaves nothing behind. Thank you from New England!
ОтветитьDIY dilution ratio is 1:256 - Ivan has quite a few video's out on useage of the product. It does an excellent job.
ОтветитьIdrosave is excellent; the sealant is very strong. Just make sure you do one panel at a time. No jumping around.
ОтветитьThe Feynlab V3 is a powerful cleaner. Your sealant should be strong otherwise it could be removed. I use mainly in the winter months.
ОтветитьBe careful Jon that pink Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash stained my apartment carpet and my interior car carpet👀. I had to but a product called Red Stain 1 to remove it by blotting combined with a Steamer 👍
ОтветитьI really like Idrosave I suggest keeping it in the test
ОтветитьSome leave polymer’s behind like onr but can be removed with a panel prep and some leave protection like gyeon and Idrosave and some are surfactant base heavy like feynlab and McKees, diy and Armour hero are hybrid polymer/surfactant.
ОтветитьI’m in your camp John, that when I want to use a rinseless wash I don’t want to leave anything behind because I have my own favourite product for LSP. I am not a scientist but I understand that most of these use polymer technology to encapsulate the dirt. So does polymers considered as leaving something behind where it will effect the longevity of my LSP.
ОтветитьYea, I’ve pretty much converted to Rinse-less full time. I typically pre rinse, apply rinse-less, and wash a panel at a time, then dry. I then apply a Graphene spray detailer on the vehicle. I have so many Rinse-less washes, I pick one and go to town. Trying to narrow it down to one, but I can’t. I’m pretty big on being able to work in direct sunlight. So I tend to go for products that are sun friendly, RW being one of them. I’ve used Wolfgang (both versions), ONR, Hero, Koch RRW, Absolute, DIY V1 and V2, Nemesis, and Clean by Pan. Wolfgang and ONR were the most user friendly. Followed by Absolute, Hero, Koch, Clean. Didn’t care for DIY (both versions) and Nemesis. They were the hardest to wipe off after they’ve dried and dried fairly quick. However they are pretty good cleaners.
ОтветитьJon do you want to try some Ethos Hybrid had a gallon shipped over from US its great Rinseless can always drop you some down I’m in East Sussex
ОтветитьSorry John but it’s a no from us on the entire rinseless idea!
Rather leave the car dirty until have the time to clean it again properly myself.
I see no benefit to this snake oil personally.
Can apply & rinse a citrus pre wash and then run round our car with 2 buckets and a mitt in about 20 minutes total if pushed to.
Wouldn’t be my best results but much safer and cleaner than any rinseless product 👍
Easy decision for me, I can only source onr, gyeon and at times absolute and Idrosave.
I don`t even count gyeon and ech2o as rinseless washes.
So only onr. But I`ve come to the coclusion that it doesn`t do anything, it`s like plain water.
The decision is that I don`t use rinseless! 😄
I love having different products to try and all for new cleaning methods but Waterless/rinseless wash was once frowned upon for leaving scratches and marks to paintwork when snowfoams and washing products were being promoted. Now all the sheds are full up with products and no money is being spent we get sold this stuff again as a revolutionary product that is the best thing since sliced bread.
It might be time to start stocking up on big yellow sponges and chamois leather ready for the next big thing in car detailing.
Agree with others. The manufacturers should be smarter with their bottling and have caps designed to give a specific measure. This always used to be the way back in the 90s instructions would be a simple one or two caps etc to a bucket. Obviously the bucket part is semi variable.
ОтветитьIf its a polymer based product then perhaps that's the care part, but it will aid the encapsulation of dirt aswell as the drying process.
I like the line-up looking forward to the review.
What are your kpi's ? Thats going to be hard to evaluate and score. 😮
I forgot to subscribe
ОтветитьNo Carpro Ech2o ?
I use it and I'm happy with it.
Same with Koch Chemie WF.
Rrw isn't available in Germany. Don't know why?
Just about time , i just love your test comparison videos. Doing gods work there sir
ОтветитьThe forensic detailing channel.....setting the standard for others to follow..for many years now.
ОтветитьThanks for including DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash in the test.
ОтветитьI am careful to not try to clean too dirty a car (much less than the test cases I have seen), I use proper dilution and wipe with a sponge (Rag Company Ultra Black) barely dripping any water, and I still get mud streaks as though the sponge is not picking all the dirt and most of the moisture. I use DIY Detail rinseless. Should I use towels instead?
ОтветитьClean by Pan!!!!!
ОтветитьCouple of things John:
1) please include Idrosave in the test. Its just SO good! Is like a wash & wax product, similar to Gyeon but the polymer left behind is more durable. I love this kind of product for 3 reasons. First, they work as a rinseless or waterless wash if diluted correctly. Second, the lubrication while washing is superior. Third, they make the best drying aid/quick detailers.
2) please do a gloss test, if a product says it doesnt leave anything behind is just simply a lie. In order to have slickness and lubrication while drying you need polymers and these will stay behind. It may be a non-durable polymer that will wear out in a couple of days or on the next wash but will stay after drying. If a manufacturer decided to not include gloss enhancers that is their choice but having a boost in gloss after a wash is nice and prevents the need of a quick detailer. If you are prepping the car for ancoating once you do anpanel wipe these polymers will be far gone.
3) In order to have encapsulation you need also a polymer I believe, I am not sure that a surfactant has the mechanism to encapsulate, so basicaly making a rinseless out of pure surfactants is possible but you will scratch the car. The sole reason of a rinseless not having to rinse at the end is becausenof the encapsulation and lubrication, again this is achieved due to polymers.
4) ONR original name from the beginning is: Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine, it has always leave polymers behind, just non-durable polymers.
I have been waiting for this carbon collective drop since last October when they hinted at it in a ig video! Can’t wait to see your review.
ОтветитьI’ll be interested to see if this testing turns you on to rinsless more, I’m finding I’m moving this way more myself, after busting out the Touch-Less of course.
You also don’t need to change your usual process, just swap your soap for Rinseless
I love the idrosave the sealant is top
ОтветитьIve used Autoglym, ONR V5 and DIY V1. DIY is my favourite by far. It cleans better than the other two, feels safer and seems to release the dirt from the wash media better when you dunk it in the bucket. I find Autoglym the worst. It feels like wiping greasy water with an over powering banana scent over the surface and the wash media is visibly dirtier after dunking in the bucket. ONR is a slight improvement over the Autoglym but it feels like it lacks cleaning power and lubrication compared to the DIY.
ОтветитьOMG great content. love your channel, long-time fan. I'm sure it's too late by now but, if you can, I would love to see you include Griot's Garage no rinse- 2 products. P&S has 2 different norinse as well. so does Optimum. I think the 2nd type is for ceramic cars. of course there is some residue, albeit veryvery little. remember, you CAN rinse it if you like. as you say, we Americans love our norinse, but its because we use it as a dozen products. maybe not the pros, but definitely the home detailer, and we all got our own PIRs for each task. these are great clay lubes as well, but not panel prep as you say- no way. what's a watermark, is that a water stain? we stay away from norinse that recommend the same ratio for every task; they are just no fun. not sure how those conversions are going, but 1 gallon is 128 ounces, so 2g=256oz.
ОтветитьUseless test without Clean by Pan.
ОтветитьPersonally, I wish you would've included a Chemical Guys rinseless wash. Just to have it as a comparison.
ОтветитьCarpro EcH2O??😢 Aurë entuluva!
ОтветитьI reckon comparing them in a way the original optimum no rinse claimed and has claimed throughout the years, that’s a true use of rinse less wash such as the obvious rinse less wash, glass cleaning, interior cleaning, clay lube, waterless wash, easy to buff off the panel if dry, slick, wheel cleaning, and much more. A winner for a true use of rinse less wash as well as the most versatile
ОтветитьI bought a few rinseless to try out myself recently. I wish this came out before I bought all of them.
ОтветитьIt’s a pity you have been neglecting a lot of the best British brands like Infinity Wax and Garage Therapy in your latest tests. I guess you are hoping for more American subscribers 🤔
ОтветитьHi Jon, perhaps a bit of an uncomfortable question but are Garage Therapy still on your blacklist in terms of their products appearing on your channel? If so, is that likely to be the case for the forseeable future from your side at least?
Only speaking from the side of the viewer here, but it would of course be good to see them (and any others) back and amongst the test, as I have read some favourable reviews of their products (their rinseless being one). So would have been interesting to have theirs put through your rigorous test to see where they'd come out.
Also, as they are a British brand we should do our little bit to buy/test/include our homegrown products, imo anyway. If we don't have people like yourself flying the flag, its definitely starting to feel like nobody else will and they become forgotten about and slowly shut shop, which is a shame.
We are very unlikely to see American channels showcasing UK products, they like showing their own stuff which is understandable.
As an aside, I'm looking forward to the results of this test. I bought 5L of Bouncers rinseless before he sadly shut shop, made in-house in the UK from a small company, rather than the popular overseas ones, I think you liked his stuff too. Only used once but seemed nice so far and cleaned the car well, it will keep me going a long long time.
Thanks 👍
Damn no phoenix eod hydra 3.0 in this !!?
Ответить1oz to 2 gallons. But is it US or imperial gallons as there is a difference in volume Jon.
ОтветитьUninteresting 1 to 256 works out to be 4ml per L of water. Using onr I like 15l of water to 4 capsules. It.makes me feel better with a bucket and grit guard and gives the dirt time to migrate out of the wash medium. I like a rinseless sponge and a noodle mitt for wheels. Also no Garage Therapy rimsless or Carpro ECH20?
ОтветитьI've seen a lot of people making the mistake of using the 1/256 ratio in a UK Gallon. Please everyone note its one ounce to US gallon (3.78ltrs) not a UK Gallon (4.54ltrs). I have used ONR for many a year but haven't used the latest latest version you have here yet. I have used P&S Absolute extensively too and for me ONR just edges it. I have started using DIY Detail (v2 which is cloudy - V1 is clear- labels are the same) Its excellent but to early for me to judge against ONR yet. Slims are winging my Koch RRW to me right now (here tomorrow). As I am a big Koch fan, cant wait to try it Once again I cant wait to see your results! Always so precise and well presented. As a pro you have led me to many excellent decisions! Never been disappointed with your choices!
ОтветитьI am waiting for surprise
ОтветитьI have the data on koch and CC now.... Idrosave will be included in the test... also DIY and ONR are 1:256
Ответить
