Excellent video, really clear, refreshingly honest. As you say, the manufacturer should do these...or pay you to!

On the subject of cutting the metal strap. You are spot on, and even with a hacksaw it was hard to cut into. In the end, in desperation, I applied a pair of bolt cutters - not something everyone has in their shed, I grant you - but once I'd made a line/fold I found I could break it by bending backwards and forwards. Not very elegant but it worked and the way it fits into the unit means you don't have sharp edges to worry about. Really helpful to know that it's the attachment to the child's bike rather than the big obvious parts that presents the real challenge.

Thanks. Was still a bit confused until I watched this. Ended up having to order a Robert Thru Axle for the main bike and the quick release axle for the child bike. Was a bit annoyed by this but I used a Trail Gator with my first child and hated it, so I’m hoping this is better.
