Why they're hard to drive
They’re the closest things we Australians have to mechanical Satan, but fun
You're forgetting one of the big technical details: the rear differential is always locked, so the tires rotate at the same speed. It's like driving a large go-cart.
Ответить1st priority entertainment. Looks like they have a good formula.
ОтветитьNo Falcon was a Falcon. Commodore was a Commodore. Bloody YANKS can't help but PHUCK up everything as not take away any attention from their crap NASCAR series
ОтветитьI've have been in couple of V8 supercars with 2 of the best drivers we had 💯 true because I have the paperwork facts they are 🖤 car's
ОтветитьAs someone who grew up with the vf commodore and the fg falcon, it’s sad to see that Aussie designed and made cars were replaced by American muscle cars. It was bad enough when the mustang and zb commodore (which is a German made opel insignia) but now that ‘a’ commodore, no matter what type, isn’t even in the v8 supercars is sad. End of an era. Ford vs Holden is over.
ОтветитьOn Fubo TV I found a channel called Speed Sport and they are the US distributor of the Australian V8 Supercars I'm definitely watching Bathurst next month and will follow the series, I am a lapsed viewer but was pleased to see many familiar names I recognized in the Sandown 500.
ОтветитьRIP Peter Brock
Ответитьi've watched this video 4-5 times somehow
ОтветитьFalcons and commodores were soooo sick
ОтветитьWhat i have understood from this video is that this cars are actually made for real drivers. Literally man and machine. None of the driver aids. In a nutshell racing for those who have balls of steel 600+ hp almost no downforce, skinny tires no abs. hill toe downshifts narrow streets. I mean. That for me is wild
ОтветитьAFTER? Kangaroos are part of our V8s too. Bathurst anyone? I just see same same. I'm Aussie and on the Goldie, we have plenty of teams based here and our guys will give advice which is pretty great for us locals who know everyone. For example, I apologize again to Craig Lowndes for his cousin Cameron who opened his mouth and told Craig's dad at a big family dinner for Craig to announce to his dad that the deal was signed and he was off to Ford. I told him on Friday. The dinner was the next night and Craig was asked about it just before his family announcement ruining it for him. I know people and it was NOT my mate Michael Massi whom I never discussed his job ever. Cam was supposed to be quiet because I told him it wasn't known yet but there was a fly on the wall. I licence security guards BTW and I have worked with everyone sooooo I may have just told you my sources about how I found out. I'm as local in this small country town as you can get. Tom Tate. He and I have a small issue currently.
ОтветитьAny racer who uses ABS or Traction Control down under isn’t a real driver. Our guys have actual feel for the track and vehicle and go absolutely 100%. Great to watch and never a boring street parade.
ОтветитьThey don't have a differential, that's why. They handle differently each lap.
ОтветитьNASCAR needs to look to the V8 Supercars to make necessary changes to fix the series before it’s completely dead.
Ответитьlol 2nd most aussie thing he says... not even close lol
The people who live V8 in australia are a VERY small group in the greater scheme of the population.
cant wait for the v8 supras to enter the races
ОтветитьPretty sure that they lost quite a few fans at the loss of the Holden Commodore, and the loss of the Falcon is another blow.
Let's face it, the automakers want you to buy an SUV rather than a saloon or sedan anyway.
Thew new Gen 3 cars promised so much yet they are rubbish. They were supposed to have less aero and less grip, but they look even more glued to the circuit. The reduction in horsepower is part of it. They need 800hp to make them animals again. The series, while competitive have lost the luster it had from the mid 90's to 2010s. Bring back the H pattern while you are at it too.
ОтветитьNot sure if they still have them but I know they used to have adjustable sway bars on a lever so throw that in the mix too 😂
ОтветитьMight need to spell kangaroo correctly.
ОтветитьRest in Peace Ford Aus and Holden. You are missed.
ОтветитьCompare this to Australian Improved Production cars - front running cars have just as much power, more weight, on a road car chassis, almost no aero, and on narrower treaded radial tyres. THAT is racing.
Ответить*kangaroo
ОтветитьThey had they where and. Ow ther no more.
Died when holden and ford died.
Touring car full stop way better racing than F1. Always has been. F1 is quite lame in reality. F1 is just where all the leading edge development happens in engine technology also. Engine development which DOESN'T get passed on to road cars as it should be... The perception used to be that F1 technology helped road car technology. Not the case.
ОтветитьIndy car is great racing too. Way better than F1!
ОтветитьI wouldn't say this series or any toring cars is underrated. I'd say the producers and then the broadcasters decice incorrectly. The viewer loses out. I cannot watch great racing.
ОтветитьTheir stupid fun in the simulation
ОтветитьI am a Aussie and I love the v8 Supercars it is a great competition and a very tight races which makes it very exciting to watch and yes I have watch the v8 Supercars live
ОтветитьRealFanssports
ОтветитьWhat do car definitions mean? What sets a supercar apart from a conventional sports car, when does a car become a muscle car?
ОтветитьCan Am of the 60’s, 70’s and V8 Supercars are the best in any simulator. My favourites! Visceral banquet.
ОтветитьLocked diff ❤
ОтветитьThere not aussie no more more American now absolutely stupid birmg back the falcon and commodore
ОтветитьThey should replace F1 qualifying by using V8 Aussie supercars for Q1, Stadium trucks for Q2 and F1 cars for Q3
change my mind 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
I would love to see the older model Holdens and Fords in iRacing, particularly the VT-VX Commodores and AU Falcons.
ОтветитьAustralian answer to Nascar
ОтветитьTake away computers and back to H pattern maybe 10inch wide tyre and unlimited horsepower and no aero then real racing might return
ОтветитьIt’s like if nascar and f1 had a baby
ОтветитьV8 supercars die when it can't beat thus band V6TT 😂
ОтветитьAlways a problem to find suitable breaks for a heavy race car in a long distance race .
One of the many advantages Holden had over Ford was weight and brakes.
Dirty Harry Firth cheating Moffat out of his Bathurst win at his first attempt also didn't help. lol
Kangaroo ya muppet. Not Kangeroo
Ответитьi miss the aussie looking v8 supercars not the new ugly American look
ОтветитьI've recently picked up Automobilista 2 on PC, and I've tried to get the hang of the simulated V8 Supercars that it offers, and yes, they are especially challenging to drive.
ОтветитьFairly sure the Chevy is a 6.2L
ОтветитьAbsolutely excellent sport, brilliant characters, I love it!!! I do miss SVG though.
