Episode 1: We Quit our Jobs and are Just Adrift!

We knew this was going to be a big year, with the wedding and travel plans....but who could have known how many crazy twists and turns 2020 could throw at us? So we're making big moves and following our dreams. We both quit our 9 to 5 jobs and are devoting this year to each other, travel and love. We are Just Adrift! With travel safety a big concern, we're starting out in our home country and exploring the beautiful United States. We're both looking forward to getting back to nature and hiking outdoors. Join us on our road trip out West! We've packed up the truck (Ram Life!), said goodbye to friends and family and hit the road.
We are headed to Denver and figuring out the stops on the way. In this episode we have our last breakfast with my family and drive to Chapel Hill, Tennessee. As it turns out Tennessee just reopened parks so finding availability was tricky. The Henry Horton State Park, south of Nashville, was a beautiful slice of the Smokey Mountains. We're glamping (glamour-camping) with our huge Coleman Condo tent, air mattress and lots of pillows and quilts. It was also fun to plan our meals for this trip. We are both big foodies so figuring out how to make outdoor cooking delicious was a priority. In this episode I had my first mushroom-swiss burger, well...kind of and also made a crazy good egg burrito for the next morning's breakfast. Check out the links below to see where we stayed.
