Looking forward to this campaign :) Btw, your general "Friedrich", his name is pronounced much more like "freed-rick" (though it's really more like the ch in the scottish 'loch'). Jäger is pronounced "yay-ger". It's german for "hunter" -- they're roughly equivalent to Army Rangers. You'll recognize the word from Jägermeister and from the giant robots in Pacific Rim.

If you want to avoid the biggest pitfalls going from English to German pronunciation, remember these:

I = EE as in Beer (not like 'eye')
E = E as in Ben or Bane (not like 'ear')
A = AH as in Father (not like 'yay')
Ä or AE = AY as in Bay
Ö or OE = UH as in Turn
U = OO as in Spoon (not like 'bun')
EI = EYE as in Wine
J = Y as in Yarn
W = V as in Vader
ß = SS as in Hiss
SCH = SH as in Ship
CH = CK or CH as in Lock or Loch

There's more but it's pretty similar to English. These will get you most of the way. There are some silent letters, but in general, don't act like there are. For instance, in german "minute" is pronounced like "mee-NOO-teh".
