По поводу языков - в Испании или Италии, к примеру, на английском языке не очень-то пообщаешься )) Хотя много зависит от города и места. В самых центральных местах туристических городов и в России тебя поймут на английском. Но отойди немного в сторону - и найти человека, понимающего английский, намного сложнее. Так же как и в большинстве других стран )) И в любой стране - если вы стараетесь говорить на местном языке, люди это оценят ))
Нагуглил в википедии "Индекс владения английским языком EF (EF EPI)" - как я и говорил, Россия примерно на уровне Италии, Испании и Франции.

My grandmother was from Russia and I had a trip booked, then Putin invaded Ukraine. I want to go as soon as it’s safe to travel there from Canada.

Truth be told, we have people begging. But its mostly "professional" begging. Fake people, earning money that way. We hardly have any people living on the streets out of need. We have many systems in place and they actually work. People have where to go, where to live, and get food and work and some money. You get kicked out for drinking or doing drugs, but if you want to stay clean, fight addiction, they help you.

Another Australian living in a rural area of Russia said the Post Office closes at 1pm. It is very inconvenient and queues are often 30 minutes long.

As an Australian soldier Ive never understood the brainwashed that think Russia is evil when we the wrst have invaded 47 countries and killied millions of civilians in the last 57 years.

I was born in Russia. And moved to Italy. You guys from western countries don’t really understand what is actually going on in Russia. You can’t even imagine how bloody this regime and government in Russia. Of course in the video you showing major city of Russia and showing highlights nice places. But you guys don’t realise how Russia actually is. How people live in other regions of Russia not in Moscow, St. Petersburg and 1 million cities. Where people earn 300-400 euro per month. Or for example now during the war Russian government takes people for war in Ukraine from poor regions where 2000$ salary for going and probably die on battlefield seems as a way to get out from poverty.
I know what I am talking about. If you don’t know these things and live in St. Petersburg you probably wouldn’t realise it but my big suggestion to everyone who is planning to go in Russia or living in Russia. Escape it as soon as possible like I did

From Saint-Petersburg you should move to Vyborg (next to Finland city) and to Karelia region - they're great in summer!

Many western people don't get how they are being controlled with knowledge and information. Even about Russia.

i used to live 7 minutes away by foot from that "300 anneversry park" where the sandy beach is , lived there more than 2 years actually and its my favorite part of the city . in summer they play beach volleyball and you would see families and people on roller skates and skateboards bicycles lots of people chilling eating ice cream and sun bathing lots of boats and people paddling on surfboards . in the winter the gulfs water freezes and you would see a Huge snow filled white area cover the whole gulf and people taking walks deep onto the ice , fishermen sitting and ice-fishing and even some people ice kite skating .. there is alot going on in there ! if you like mountains and wanna see some in Russia i recommend you to live for a while in Krasnodar its a big beautiful city and is very close to wounderful mountains (Caucasus Mountains / Elbrus ) which to me looks almost like Skyrim lol and the Black sea ( sochi / adler ) those places are very close to Krasnodar . distance varies between 4 to 8 hours ride , anyway nice video mate have fun and enjoy your stay ! 👍

I keep wondering why all those bloggers keep saying how good food is in Russia. I believe food quality is MUCH higher in Australia, especially beef and lamb. It is just not possible to find normal lamb in Russia.
