There is zero evidence they were written in 1500bc. Earliest is 150-200bce. The princess and the frog was based in Louisiana. By your logic, it actually happened. And so is every other fictional story set in real locations. This is deception. What the devil is known for. I just wish people were honest. It doesn't even take away from the Bible. The allegory of that book is an abundance of incredible knowledge.. for those with eyes to see. If people just took the good wisdom from it, the world would be a better place. Trying so hard to prove it is 100% fact, is actually impossible due to conflicting accounts & contradictions. It proves itself to be parabol. Takes away from the messages and that faith itself has it's own mysterious power.

Please show me one grave of any of these characters. Solomon, David, Joshua, Marky Peter, etc etc show me just one grave of any of them. Even this Balaam son of Beor, do you have his grave? A hagiography can be hacked out of real event, in real places using one minor, but real character as foundation for credibility making. If we can have the graves of people who lived centuries and millennial before these Bible characters why can't we have the graves of these Bible charavters? We can overlook Elijah, Jesus, and Moses because God is said to have done something to their bodies...as for Jesus, like Elijah He went with his mortal.body to heaven however absurd that sounds and negates the Bible which says, "Flesh and blood can't inherit the kingdom of God".

When you read the Bible, it’s immediately evident that it is a historical record. It’s not written as a mythology is, it’s written overly descriptive to the point of being by a pedantic person.

I said to my best friend a while back, “Let’s go to Israel and find God there!” Turns out we can actually do that.

VERY, Very, very slim evidence OR proof for whats in the Bible! ! ! The overall burden of proof falls on GOD, WHO remains, as usual,
“Silent”! The “Real Question” that should be asked by PEOPLE all over this Earth is; Why does HE remain the “Absentee Champion”?
When “Evil” takes over, as it certainly looks as though it has, where is "OUR SAVIOR"? ? ? OR are we “ALL” to die because the BAD, 
now outnumber the GOOD? ? ? Whats Wrong With This Picture? OR, could it be that the “Bible” is the "Cleverest Ploy" ever

Conveniently excluding the fact that the Deir Alla inscription (from the 8th CENTURY BC, by the way; not close to the 15th) describes MULTIPLE gods coming to Balaam, are we? An entire named pantheon? Even a goddess? Dishonest at best, but interesting nonetheless.

I am surprised this is the first time I am really taking in the importance of this find. (It's in some of my school books, and I know I have read about it because I highlighted it!) Thank you for presenting it here.
I just went and read the actual text. Phenomenal! It is honestly much more important for the biblical text than just supporting its historicity. The divine council motifs, the Shaddayin, is highly explanatory for supporting the divine mountain imagery found throughout the scriptures, but is relatively lost in translation. It ties the Bible even more tightly to its ANE context.
