How good is Siakam? I got some Pacers fans upset today by saying that the Thunder have 3 of the top 4 players in the series. They had Siakam ahead of JDub and Chet....which I just can't understand since JDub and Chet are DPOY-caliber.
ОтветитьTop 2 on the watchboard for okc are
1. HALI
2. SPICY P
This will be lucky to go 5 games
Start planning the parade Oklahoma
It’ll be thunder in 4 mark my words after they beat the nuggets and timberwolves I think they’ll wash the pacers
ОтветитьGreat show thanks as always

Well you poked the pacers and now we got them. I think their offense poses the most problems for our defense. Just their ball control And pace. Having said that, it shouldn't go past six games.
ОтветитьPerhaps going to the offensive glass could balance fast break twos when you don't get them ( when they have the personnel on the floor to hit the offensive glass).
ОтветитьIf you could put a team in the lab that could bother the Thunder defense, the Pacers are it.
ОтветитьYou should re-breakdown the regular season games between the thunder and pacers looking at what worked, what didn’t, etc!
ОтветитьI’m absolutely fine with Nesmith & Nembhard shooting contested corner 3s. Would love that.
ОтветитьUncle Kenny is inevitably going to make an impact when he is on the floor
ОтветитьIf I just listened to this and didn’t watch this year I’d think the pacers had went 82-0! 😂😂
ОтветитьWhat player can say that they helped build two teams that met in the NBA Finals?

Paul George!
An X-factor that cannot be ignored is the Rick Carlisle/Daigneault matchup. Carlisle has a .500 record in 166 playoff games, including a Finals championship on his resume. He has been there and done that. Daigneault has a .692 record, but only a 26-game sample size and zero Finals experience. Daigneault's sideline style is very laid-back; Carlisle is a master gamesman. How tightly the games get called will be a major factor in this series.
In their series with the Knicks last season, the Pacers were whistled for 39 fouls in the first 2 games, the Knicks were whistled 33 times; Carlisle had a fit about the whistle after game 2 and was fined $35,000. Ironically, in games 3 and 4, the Pacers were hit with more whistles, 45, while the Knicks were hit with fewer, 30, in his passion defending his team, Carlisle lit a fire under the Pacers and they took the series in 7 games.
Who can forget the 2011 WCF? After an entire season, and 2 playoff series, Kevin Durant's "swim move" was changed to a floor foul rather than a shooting foul during the WCF. I call it Durant's move, but players like Kobe Bryant used it in the 2008 Finals, and it was a Tim Duncan go to before that. Revisionist history just says the change was made in 2011, but conveniently fails to tell the exact date. Changing rules is the NBA's prerogative, but I call BS when the change is made, after decades interpreting it as a shooting foul, in the WCF. And in game 2 at that! Even Jeff Van Gundy called BS on the play-by play at the time! That's like the house suddenly saying a flush is bigger than a full house when the biggest pot of the night is on the table.
Was it Carlisle's gamesmanship complaining about the call in game 1 that swung the pendulum? Or was it Dirk and the 5th largest TV market vs the upstart Thunder in 3rd smallest market? Your call.
Been a season ticket member since 21-22. I remember strolling out Zavier Simpson for that final game. Boy, has this been sweet to watch unfold. Definitely feels special!
