So I've been somewhat radio silent the last month... and there's a good reason for that! In the last video, I mentioned that I quit my full time job at Google, and I left it somewhat open ended on what I was doing next.

Now there was some speculation that I quit to pursue indie game development full time. Now that's pretty close but not quite. I actually quit my job at Google to work at a game dev startup that helps game developers make more money. So as the hard launch, I joined Stash.gg that was cofounded by Justin Kan (also the cofounder of Twitch).

This felt like a super unique opportunity to tie my love of game development with my expertise in large tech companies like Microsoft and Google. Ultimately what Stash.gg does is build platforms to help game developers go more direct to consumer. Which inevitable helps game developers avoid high platform cuts and take home more money.

In addition to the job change, I also move to New York City! After spending 4 years in Seattle, I felt like I needed a change of scenery. So I guess I decided to move to the most expensive city in the US.

With switching jobs and moving across the country, I still found time to work on my first indie game Castlemancer! I've made a ton of progress and the demo is almost ready for release. The learning game dev journey is challenging but definitely worth it. I have a new devlog coming soon to highlight all of the progress I've made recently!

Comment down below what you think about all of these decisions I made!
