im surprised on how this game died, i love the consept and its super well made

I easily had over 6-700 hours between evolve and evolve stage 2. I’d love to continue playing, if you could :( there’s really no other game that’s even close to this out right now.

what killed this game was 90 percent of the player base sucked at tracking, and predicting the monsters movement around the map.
Then as the player count dwindled any new players typically met a tournament level monster player often enough that, the fun became nonexistent.

Not to mention 99 percent of the player base was afraid to be the monster, since they didn’t want to loose.
Then I mean… who could forget you had to pay 5 bucks for every single thing.

I mean 25 dollars for the behemoth on day 1?! Are you joking half the price of the game for a single playable character.

I loved evolve it just sucked that I couldnt play against actual people more, but I still had a lot of fun with it

This game feels like Anthem, something that could've been great but just didn't make it to stardom.

The monster designs are interesting as hell and have me wondering what a Monster Hunter x Evolve game would he like. I don't know how that concept would work but it sounds really cool.

I REALLY goddamn wish we could get a new 4 player coop game like this, L4D, those Warhammer ones... But...with actual content. I'm getting so tired of a PVE game, pr a 4v1 game coming out, and I run out of stuff to unlock, or upgrade, or whatever, in a matter of a day or two. I absolutely loved playing that Warhammer one that released on Xbox recently, but I ran out of stuff to do in a few days. I already maxed out the character I made, and didn't particularly feel the need to max other classes, since that gets me nothing. I couldn't even get better weapons because I was at max level. So none of the loot I got mattered either.

By the time I quit, all I was doing was rushing through levels on autopilot. I got no leveling done, or loot worth keeping, due to my level. There was literally no point in continuing to play, outside of just wanting to run through a level, which I didn't if it wasn't going to get me anything.

I just want a PvE or 4v1 game, where there's an absolute metric fuckton of content. 100s of levels per character, overcharge upgrades to level items past the level cap, fairly constant content updates with new items, maps, and characters added. A separate cosmetic outfit which would allow them to add tons of cosmetic clothing options to unlock and buy. Even a damn battle pass if it keeps people coming back, as long as having the battle pass doesn't come at the cost of non-pass content. I want something I could play for years and still have fun.

Like, at this point, it feels like devs aren't even remotely concerned about a game's lifespan. They just wanna release a game, make a chunk of money, then move on to the next game. You can't just release a game, and leave it alone, then expect it to stay active. You NEED to keep updating the game, keep players coming back by adding new stuff, as well as all the above things to give people an actual reason to play.

Important lesson here about always online games. You don’t own it. You’re just renting it. Unlike classics (mario, modern warfare, etc) if a game you like is always online there will come a time when you can’t play it anymore.

I legit actually liked evolve but the development post launch wasn't good enough for most people. Shame too, the action/reaction gameplay of the original version was cool

One of games I liked when it comes out , good idea but no replayability Its was fun to kill people as spider or phasing tentacle levitating monster, but every game was same, run ,level up,kill repeat. Planets were uninteresting with same mechanics and no poi.

As a man who has spent so much time playing games centered around gameplay loops, this one isn't so bad. I still play it on Ps5.

Remember when the servers came back live again for a short time and people were making fundraisers to get it back fully? THAT'S how loved this Game was and still is.

I wish/would trade dead by daylight in any day of the week for this game to have life/be relevant. Literally same concept but this is actually fun to play unlike dead by daylight but yet Evolve died

The original EVOLVE was amazing. I remember playing the beta before the official release. Then it released. And for a short time, you had one of the greatest multiplayer experiences ever.

Then bad decision after bad decision, wrong turn after wrong turn, it destroyed itself. Watching this brings back some good memories.

Evolve could be amazing if it had a pvp of 4 or more monsters, bc lets be real, Playing with the monster was way more amazing than humans...

If this game was released now it would've been a hit.

You can just give your Friends your steam and they can download it with you only needing 1 code... but whatever

Fact check! There is a discord with 40,000 users where PC and emulator players regularly join up and have games daily. It’s more active on the weekends obviously but if you can get a legitimate evolve code you can still regularly play games so you will need a mod called the rice fix because the servers are now down permanently. I know this because I am in the discord and I play semi-regularly.

If they brought it back it would be good because online games are at a peak now

There is an evolve discord with a mod pinned in the discord comments that you can install that gives you the dlc and you can play peer to peer in the discord.
