I didn't understand the answer to the question about muscle being affected.

I have Lipedema, lymphedema and chronic venous insufficiency. Unfortunately I have been told an MRI is not possible for me due to metal fragments in my body. I am so hopeful that more will be done as one of my daughters has Lipedema and I have three granddaughters who are at risk for this disease. Thank you so much for the cutting edge information. It’s very exciting Dr. Crescenzi is coming to UVA as it is my home state.

Fascinating! Thank you for your work, all 3 of you. From the perspective of a woman with lipedema and from the perspective of applied quantum biology (health at the level of electrons, protons and photons), I would agree that sodium could be out of balance in the cells of women with lipedema partly because of modern living: electric lighting, especially LEDs, after sunset, bathing us in too much blue light, which women are more sensitive to than men; depleted "exclusion zone" water in and around our cells, which is a gel-like, negatively charged fourth phase of water [Dr. Gerald Pollack], decreasing our cells ability to use electrons for functions such as sodium and calcium balance and use, etc.. I like that Dr. Crescenzi mentioned mitochondria and hormones. In applied quantum biology (visit the Quantum Biology Collective for more info), hormone regulation is one of the key benefits of a strong circadian rhythm and an understanding of how things like our light environment and non-native electromagnetic fields disrupt our mitochondria function and hormone regulation. Also, in applied quantum biology, fascia has been called the "quantum superhighway" because it speeds electrons wherever they need to go in the body; with high sodium and other situations where the fascia (or muscle or fat) have a positive charge, that means more pain signaling, less healing and repair, and poor quantum communication with surrounding tissue. I'm just a student of applied quantum biology, but I'm also fascinated by how its theories intersect with your research. thank you.

My issues are more from veins as far as I can understand but local doctors only know I swell they can't tell me why or what to do.
