After he caught it he went back across the line. He does not get forward momentum because he chose to fall back .he wasn't down til touch, no first down.

And TJ was held continuously. One of which, which was so obvious, would have been a safety. The officiating was not the best in this game.

Regardless. The Commanders is quite the team. They have a bright future ahead of them with that QB.

Why don’t you spend some time on Watt being held in the end zone? Also, the TV line is unofficial. The ref was right where he should be and made the call.

This was a close one honestly could have gone either way. Hoping Commanders can get an Elite TE feel like the defense dose enough we just need a mismatch against LB worried about Jaden running. The guy out of Penn State seems like he is legit.

Another thing on that first down was they said Ertz was down on the 41 yard line but when Pittsburgh got the ball back they was on the 42 yard line 🤔. Something ain’t right

Washington is a very good team - a playoff team, imo, that NFC teams will not want to play against in January.
This game could've gone either way, but Pgh executed @ the key moments & Wash. did not quite match that level... very, very close... but not quite there (yet). Pgh has some issues, too, but they have that extra bit of talent on the field... just enough to win close games - a Pgh hallmark.
I agree with other comments here RE: Wash WRs... too many drops. Daniels also needs to develop a deep/over-the-top pass game. He's really good & quick on short/mid-range throws, but... did he even attempt a deep ball vs. Pgh? You allow that Pgh D to push up & shorten the field, then you will probably be kicking FGs in the 2nd half instead of scoring TDs.

Pgh fan here, btw. Really impressed by Washinton's intensity & physical style of play. Very well-coached team - you guys keep that coaching staff together & you'll be playing in January on a regular basis, imo.

I love Terry. Great route runner, amazing hands, and the tip-toe skills of a master ballerina. He does not have elite or breakaway speed. That is why we keep getting those almost TDs from Jayden/McClurin.

Washington has a very good team. They need to make some tweaks. Get B. Rob healthy, catch the football, get Lattimore on the field, and get St. Juste off of it. If healthy, this team will make some noise in the playoffs.

It was not a first down. They have a view from the other side of the field where you can see he was clearly a yard short. I thought the same thing but those lines on to are not accurate. Plus don’t be bias. There was blatant holding calls on watt that wasn’t called.

I like how you conveniently didn’t show the hold in the end zone that would’ve gave the Steelers the safety and two points. If you’re gonna call out missed calls why didn’t you call out the fact that you’re right tackle held TJ in the end zone ? Just saying. 😂

ROFLMAO not even close to pass interference the defender was looking back for the ball and his head doesnt turn around until he runs into the the receiver the defender has just as much right for the ball Jayden under threw the ball and as far as the 4th down play goes the receiver ran back behind the sticks to get the ball and his knee hit the ground and he was touched

10,000 drops didn't help either.. We had the chances and still were close.. This loss , even tho it hurt , might be a great one to Learn from..

Steelers tee off on rookie QB's. I said in several threads the Steelers are able to stay disciplined in their lanes... and that would keep Daniels in check. I expected a 7 point Pittsburgh win, otherwise everything I predicted happened.
Don't fret cuz Washington did impress me considering that they still haven't beaten a team with a winning record. Daniels is good, happy to see Washington back again in the top tiers

Our starting right tackle and left tackle was hurt. Those edges aren’t getting through if they are healthy. Of course these refs aren’t calling much on us. For whatever reason, we don’t get those game changing 50/50 flags like a lot of the teams in the league get.

There were bad and missed calls against both teams ... just like almost every game in the NFL.

Wasn't a first down he went back and caught it in front of the first down marker. It was reviewed in New York by head officials. They have camera angles that we don't have as a viewer. So they aren't just seeing the same things we see on TV.

Daniels is quite impressive but saying “no one else can make that throw” is quite hyperbolic….josh Allen makes that throw every week

Why did they not bring out the chains, to measure if it were a first dowm, if the ball is even with the sticks it a first down.
