I noticed that there was no mention of the role of teachers in the creation of serial killers. Most children spent the vast majority of their waking hours with teachers, not parents, and I read a study before that showed that having a good teacher was likely to prevent most negative effects of parental abuse. My own teachers were incredibly racist and believed that bullying was a sign of growing up and would encourage children to fight. They taught children racial slurs and one teacher told my class that men who love their wives beat them. Teachers also encourage the lack of trust in authority, especially when they say things like 'the good must suffer for the bad' and punish everyone together, and will also punish students who go to them for help when another student (or teacher) is making their life miserable. In fact, I would say that teachers should bear most if not all the blame for these outcomes.
As for the point about individualistic societies promoting serial killing, I'd argue that it's not true. I come from a community based Asian village and the reason that you don't hear about crimes there is because no one will report them. You can't bring shame to the family by reporting a murder or a rape. Everything will be covered up. Community based societies are false utopias. Pretty on the outside and rotten on the inside.

People worship celebrities which are some of the biggest serial killers there are as they not only enable poverty which is deadly and get away with it Scott free they influence whether they're fans or not to hurt themselves and others mostly the young and impressionable whether it be by how they should look and or act such as unnecessary plastic surgeries and or violence etc

It's a shame the whole analysis evaporizes into thin air once you account for sex. 93% of serial killers are male. Women go through childhood trauma, neglect and abuse at higher rates than males. Yet they don't turn into murderous serial killers. Society is going to have to stop beating around the bush of male violence and looking for any explanation under the sun before stopping the denial and admitting male are biologically predisposed to violence in a way that women aren't, it's not just social/cultural.

Honestly true crime podcasts are usually straight up copaganda or baby's introduction to ACAB. I'm starting to see more podcasters be able to be more direct about their critiques of the police and more podcasters starting to challenge old narratives about mental health, crime, police corruption, and the role of police in society. I'm optimistic that this conversations matters and videos like this continue these conversations.

oooookaaaay a lot of people dislike that nature can be difficult to reconcile with. so the very rare cases of born malignancy do actually occur. in a harsh pre-tech reality existing for group/herd mammals and more complex neural networks a "cool blooded" high intelligence predator types will occur to test and possibly add genetic components of future survival for their own tribe and as far as a species wide spread if useful. personalities are observed across so many animals even the alien octopus have them (especially mischievous and fun having them eight legs). apes obviously provide crazy cases of both deeply empathic vs domineering self serving beings. for them aggression that grows unchecked is most correlated with rising levels of sexual "perversions" acted onto lower members of the hierarchy including violence, force and abuse of others with disregard of their sex and of sexually immature young.

we need to talk about kevin is almost perfect in the first and lattened signs (except manipulating in the first year of one parent over the other) . their first year is filled with endless screaming. one father described it as baby seemed literally angry to be born, and he continued to scream after losing his voice, so silent wailing that never abates, even as the scream becomes noiseless. often the child will refuse to attempt talk to communicate with parent figure and using their waste as a bio-weapon against house and parents, especially parent's bed and room. when they begin talking they are very eloquent as though theyve been practicing speaking for years. these experiences tend to occur within the first 4 years. there is also no histories of birth, head nor psychologically inflicted trauma, with parents blaming themselves for not being capable to help. this does not mean the child will be growing into a serial killer, but the ground for the development of it is far riper than among general population.

manipulative in causing fights and distress with peers, when the mask will drop as they drink in carnage, and if confronted by an authority figure the hot tears, spoken remorse and often successful manipulating of adults unfamiliar with dangerous/malignant behaviors creating sometimes a sort of knight to protect them. no decent being will joyfully blame a child and feel no desire to try and assist/become a safe haven/guide children exhibiting any maladjusted behavior
cruelty to insects and animals may exist but some seem super concerned with their welfare. same for late childhood bedwetting and destructive/ocd like pyromania (these two to me always suggest abuse first and foremost, and are as rare to be without a seeming environmental conditions, but do occur within this population sometimes as a part that seems innate.

treatment is very difficult, some think impossible but these asses lack vision and are poor choices for their jobs as psychologist experts. influencing them via a structured, carefully constructed reward cycle. if therapy is attempted by someone without expertise in this is detrimental as the patients with dark triad become significantly more refined in their manipulation tactics.

schizophrenia is the most common disorder among the homeless population, and is also correlated with self medicating and tendency for addiction. most mental illnesses tend to correlate highly with drug abuse and addiction. violence in childhood shuts off channels that produce internal levels of relaxation, rest and pain-soothing chemicals in brain and body. addiction is a near guarantee for brains that are never fully at rest via natural methods of their own body.

ive had several people i requested as my mentors who were both in academia while also practicing with both out and in patient care describe schizophrenic patients as having a sort of "clairvoyance
'-like knowledge of aspects of a person's life or things a person thought/discussed recently. in one case my most influential professor described dreaming of a very very difficult patient, a person he didn't expect to see until a following week and on the way to work seeing them across a street where the patient upon seeing him the dude shouted from across the road "so how did it feel when you were killing me last night. that professor was mentored by a man who successfully rehabilitated his schizophrenic population in hospital to become highly functioning in their community, with no re-emergent psychosis and several decades worth of successful functioning of the group house in which these patients lived. the government shut that shit down and very few new students are introduced to these cases.

the huge issue that trans women have been lumped along with cis perverts forcing the world into their sexual gratification are completely separate from the world of consensual kink, separate from the condition of transsexual as it was studied so medical intervention could begin and be seen as legitimate in their cases. the good empathic people not wanting to step over individual freedom then became vicious in demanding safety of women and girls born into our condition as those with male bodies demanded that any hesitation be claimed as terfdom and trumpism is gross and now trans women and men who disagree are called terfs and calls to physical assault of disagreeing groups of women were attacked like noone from the worst types of insane evangelicals, west bastboro church founders would be untouched. so when the terf groups say they see born in form of female sex people being thrown to predators using the mask of other's suffering they aren't wrong. noone who actually authentically presenting their own individual suffering has been protected and helped within this awful experiment in making money and full abuse of the marginalized

always be careful with strangers who offer assistance with too much interest and almost pushy enthusiasm, always ask yourself why are they SO focused on helping you specifically. This is something that can help you avoid trafficking, may prevent drugging. People whose life in the communities being spotless and so very altruistic and especially flawless. authentic life experiences of people involved in humanitarian aid are at ease with being flawed and moral compass based on compassion allow one to open up about personal flaws, where as mask wearers/predators shun any idea of human failure as being part of their image in community. beware flawless beings, they cannot empathize with you, tread carefully in their presence.

I hear you and the reason-rant of this video. I agree, we are making monsters on purpose with little will to reverse the outcome. Mostly due to how the world IS right about wanting the Age of Heros to be reborn and have our recruit houses get more bodies for inevitable wars. The main problem isn't the cruel and false-calculating wackjobs had the power to arise moral and harden our defenses even more, it's the timing. We are creating Champions too early and not in yet-2-come events that would take even more material and time to plan out. Let's say you have lead for your lead-spitter for your escort mission, how are you going to do that when your foes have planned their equipment out? Take their stuff, yes, but only the shells and spent parts that entered your body!
Most heroes, in this case, red-ribbon army (yes, it's a DZ meme, can't say w/o the baby ai crying!) don't come from the best backgrounds and have the folks help them forge an identity as they were TRAINED first, RAISED second.
Fallen heroes are hard to salvage after any battle is over, mainly due to the moronic speed crafting on WHEN heroes are made but into HOW the red-ribbons are made, bleakly half-baking the damage to the battle before orders comes into infighting as the red-ribbon wasn't trained into social tolerance, or this case thicc-skinned!

Fighting is easy, fighting without the bones and brains isn't. Our Generals didn't (mostly) fail, we just ignored the fine print on the after-effects!?

Edit: To add to your commentary on why serial killers get away with their crimes so easily (I’m not sure if you mentioned it, paying attention isn’t a strength of mine) - but serial killers tend to get away with murder more than once or twice is because they mostly murder people they had no genetic or social relation to. When a death is ruled as a homicide (at least here in the US) the first suspects are the victim’s significant other, ex-lovers, co-workers, friends, and relatives or neighbors. Also, here in the US according to statistics by the FBI, almost 40% of homicides go completely unsolved.

THANK YOU for mentioning that the IQ testing is complete and utter nonsense. Because of the whole IQ concept, as a child my parents had placed unrealistic and unbelievable expectations on me, when I took a school-mandated IQ test and scored 136. This had increased the physical and emotional abuse and neglect I already faced to a level I couldn’t take it, and I ended up in a high security mental hospital after I slashed both my wrists open.

There’s absolutely no way I was a “Gifted” student. I did horribly academically because of severe mental illness and having issues with memory loss — not to mention I’m a total klutz. I trip down the stairs at least once a week.

As a neurodivergent person who survived many forms of abuse, I can safely say that therapy being more accepted can help--but what we really need is to deconstruct white supremacy, the patriarchy, and capitalism if we wanna stop the creation and glorification of so many serial killers.

A large amount of serial killers were and are motivated by extreme religion, racism, sexism, queerphobia, etc. Fueled by hate, that capitalism and other oppressive systems use to keep the top 1% at the top.

And, most people don't even realize the casual eugenics towards disabled people...

Blacks were 60% of the US SKs since the 2010s despite making up 13% of the population.
Over all they made up 40% of all US SKs since the time of recording. See Radford University statistics.
Already in the 1st few seconds everything wrong. And of course you failed to mention that after the Paul Stein murder telephone reports were given about a black offender.

And well maybe the higher amount of SKs in Britain or America is due to actually reporting it & being open about it.
You really think that the UDSSR or the CCP makes shit like that public? See how the Russians reacted to Chikatilo/other SKs. See how differently the DDR/BRD treated the SKs Hagedorn (discreetly caught/immediately executed) and Bartsch (paraded around in the media with interviews, court scenes, multiple movies & documentaries, note, that those that those that tried to do a Hagedorn movie in the DDR had it hogged away by the state).
Not even talking about forgotten cases like Mario Sieblitz, a commie collaborateur swine, I mean of course respectable young socialist & NVA officer, who tortured 5 men to death & was sent to prison never to be heard from again. The same shit with all Chinese SKs. Literally all informations suppressed & barely findable.
Only a phenomenon of the degenerate, capitalistic West - am I right?
And in South/Middle America or South/North Africa where should the infrastructure/competence be to even begin such an investigation? You unironically think that they could catch them? For Garavito & others they needed hundreds of bodies, Western help & even then the interference of vigilants in medias res.

And why do the police fail? Well, because almost all murders are committed by people who know the victim, there is a personal component, if you had little to no forensics (like in the past or in the 3rd world) and removed the victim/perpetrator relationship where would you even start? And this is even if a series of murders is recognized as such.
What about mobile SKs (like pilots, salesmen, truckers, vagrants) or disposition-based SKs (like Thomas Rung, who murdered for different motives like sex/money/revenge or Thomas Lemke, who murdered for sexual/political/sadistic reasons)? How would you even recognize them if all their crimes are different in either location or motive? Or what about patient killings? Some people are excepted to die & you cannot simply control every corpse (particularly in an ageing society).
These were/are still almost uncatchable unless you are a) incredibly lucky (like with Volker Eckert, who got himself filmed) or b) employ dystopian measures (like forced DNA mass testing/savings or ancestry data base searches or complete camera surveillance).
I hate law enforcement (but for exactly the opposite reasons as you due to Stgb. §130, lockdowns & other shit), but if you criticize them so strongly you better have something to offer. Unironically, I know nothing will come of that, but I would love to see any SK apprehension strategy suggestion from you.

And why do you think that Scandinavia's lenient/rehabilitation-based approach on crime works (or better worked)? Maybe because it was (& to some degree still is) a homogenous nation with a mutual culture/history that binds the people? Unlike modern Burgerland. And even there people like Michael Maria Penttilä used the mercy of that society again & again to harm others.

For a while I've had a very unscientific pet theory about why it seems like serial killer activity is nowhere near what it was through the 80's and 90's and it basically boils down to that I believe an under-reported factor in serial killer motivation is recognition and fame, which ties into what you discussed in regards to the fixation on authority, control, and individualism. For decades, being a serial killer was the best way to become infamous, particularly in the United States, but around the turn of millennium, with the dawn of DNA testing as well as increased interconnectivity and surveillance, it became increasingly harder to commit multiple murders over a prolonged period, which is, obviously, how a killer becomes a serial killer.

By that same token, you know what doesn't require a lot of time and patience and circumventing of the surveillance state? Buying an assault rifle, going into a crowded public place and just opening fire. You know what's all but guaranteed to get you on the news overnight? Buying an assault rifle, going into a crowded public place and just opening fire. Basically, I think a not insubstantial number of the guys who would have been serial killers 20-30 years ago are now just doing mass shootings. It's easier, faster, and if you're white, you likely to at least get to go to McDonald's with the cops before you get put in jail for the rest of your life.

Again, this is super unscientific and purely based on casual observation, but it might be worth looking at statistics to see how it reflects the reality of the situation.

I really hate the term "monster" being used to describe serial killers and other depraved people. I feel like it often dehumanizes and sensationalizes the actions of people who are ultimately just deeply flawed human beings. Once a person becomes a "monster" the nuance of their actions becomes less important. In some ways these depraved, flawed humans become like movie monsters. After the Dahmer documentary came out a bunch of kids dressed like him for Halloween. The horrible actions of a horrible person became set dressing to a Halloween costume. Serial killers are a result of humanity not separate from it.
