This was maybe the most helpful instruction/ meditation to clearly assist me to the “ cloud of unknowing” and help me fully understand renunciation and surinder. I was wondering dear Samaneri Jayasāra, where is Viveka from Wollongong and would it be possible to do some service for you all? I have nothing to do and feel the need to get out and perhaps meet some like minded friends…? I was a brahmacari in the ISKCON temple in north Sydney for years but fell away from it and I know Hare Krishna’s aren’t Buddhist but I can still clean toilets, floors and windows like they were God’s Own! Lol 😆 XX Just a thought…

I used to get scared of performing self inquiry. It's such an initial shock and revelation to find out you are not who you thought you were your entire life. I absolutely love it now and find so much peace in it. Thank you for your beautiful words. I listen to your video's every night with headphones in while getting my daughter to sleep.

can someone please help encourage and motivate me, that none of these is just mumbo-jumbo?

ive been on and off meditating, and although ive seen some pretty lights and stuff, it all seemed trifle and trivial.

and i keep losing faith and gumption, so i just drop it and not meditate anymore.

this is kinda frustrating, and has been going on for years. :(

The first time I listened to this meditation I admit, I fell asleep. But I was softly stirred awake by the most beautiful poem I’ve ever heard. Now, while listening I stay totally alert and relaxed, taking in these teachings, and awaiting The Mountain Hermitage of Mu. Thank you both for this. It has made my sweeter.

I’m never gonna get it. Every time I have felt a sense that it’s (awareness or whatever) starting to wake up, the person, the separate, fear based, depressive, nihilistic personality shows up to keep me in just waiting to die.
I give up. For the last time. I’m done.
Catholic school assured us kids eternal torture by devils and demons was waiting for us disgusting abominations anyway so what’s the point.
This has been the most soul crushing, confusion, debilitating chase / illusion ever.
